My male cat ( not old age ) is not walking much , and when he does, he walks very slowly. He dosent act as normal, seems ill and weak.He started being like this 1 night when he came in with different colour fur than him on his body, maybe a fight with another cat? I have painted my room recently, something on the internet said that might of have something to do with it? Thanks

I have a 9 mo old Golden Retriever (rescue) I have had her since Oct 08 and she has never been 'normal' she is half the size, has half the energy, very thin but does have a healthy appetite, drinks alot, and seems to have problems holding her head up. I was told by one vet that it might be a disease that happens in the womb with no cure. Recently she has gotten worse with pacing, drooling and fever. Vet gave her steriods and antibiotics which seemed to help for a while but now she is getting worse. Do you have any ideas what it might be? I don't want a bunch of tests done on her. Thank you

Parvo in puppies and adult dogs
Posted on 2009/05/02 by UserMy female germanshorthair pointer recently had puppies. We had to rush one puppy to the vet and found out he had parvo. He is still at vet, cured, but keeping him there to not come home and get sick again. One other pup was diagnosed with parvo, they sent me home with I.V. fluids to give him (it has been about a week now) He seems to be doing better, but one other pup is acting tired and shaky and his back legs seem weak. Is there anything I myself can do without spending a fortune at the vet? But I DO NOT want these pups to suffer. Could the mom have passed it? I am not sure about her current vaccinations.

Lethargy, loss of appetite, and lameness in year old Basset puppy
Posted on 2009/05/20 by KimMy year old Basset Hound puppy, Tanner, has been acting strange for about the past week. He seems very lethargic and barely has an appetite. He's lost some weight, and whenever he walks he tends to favor his back hips. He had surgery in January on his front left leg to fix an ununited ancheol process. He will eat people food, like noodles, but has almost no interest in dog food. Bowel movements are normal as far as I can tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Wool worm.....maybe
Posted on 2009/05/24 by UserWe have had cats in the past who have had wool worms. Last night when I got home, I picked my cat up and felt something odd under her front leg. When I looked at it, it looked just like the hole a wool worm leaves when it comes out. I had never seen one anywhere other than the neck but it looked just like a wool worm hole. When I woke up this morning, she no longer had a small hole. She has a quarter size hole that probably goes in about a half of an inch. Ive cleaned her and done my best to sterilize the wound. She doesn't appear to be in any pain at the site. I'm no longer convinced it's a wool worm site but I have no clue what it could be. Any ideas? *christine*
