I have a Miniature Schnauzer with an ear problem. She has been scratching it and shaking her head. In the past I have treated this with Panalog ointment. I believe a vet once told me I could use a ear wash of half vinegar and half water to clean it out. Is this true? Thank you Wayne

Allergic Reaction
Posted on 2008/10/11 by StacyI took my 2 year old daschund to the vet today and she received her rabbies shot. She has since vomitted, had diarrhea, has bumps on her head and back and her ears are bothering her. Should I be concerned? Or is this an allergic reaction to the shot that can be common in her breed?

floppy ear
Posted on 2008/10/13 by UserKeystones ears were both up and looked beautuful but in the last 2 months his right ear has fallen. He was a year on the 13th. When we glued his ear it stayed up for a day after the glue wore off but then went back down. Is there anything we can do or are there any implants or something else a vet can do to get it erect all the time?

Adverse reaction to OTC ear mite remedy?
Posted on 2008/10/24 by UserTwo days ago, I used an over-the-counter ear mite remedy on my cat. I followed the directions and put 3-5 drops in each ear. The instructions stated that after treatment, my cat would probably shake his head to expel the drops. Since the treatment, not only is he still scratching and shaking his head but he also keeps his ears in a permanently lowered state. The remedy instructions state that the ear mite condition should resolve after two treatments. Because of the way my cat is behaving, I don't know if I should continue the treatment or just take him to a vet. What do you think?
