Cat's ear bothering him after fight with another cat
Posted on 2008/03/01 by BethI have an 8 yr old cat who has been an inside cat his whole life. He got outside tuesday and got in a fight with another cat. We thought his eye was what was bothering him. There seems to be a little swelling above it and it is watering, but tonight we discovered that he has a couple of scratches in his ear. He has been lethargic and not himself. He had a bad reaction to immunizations several years ago so since he stays inside, we have not given him shots in several years. Is there anything we should do, or should we just keep an eye on his ear?

Our rotweiller seems to have chronic ear problems. Is this normal for this breed? We have used several different meds and currently using zymox but doesnt seem to be helping. Is there any home remedy we can use to help this problem?
