  • help

my dog is a 5year old boxer. we got up on monday to find her with a swollen face and bumps like hives all down her head and body. Our vet thought she had had an allergic reaction to something and gave her antihistamines. Her face swelling went down and her bumps went away but the bumps have been returning alot over the past few days, coming and going on their own and she keeps crying for no apparent reason. and then we got up today and her ears are swollen. whats wrong with her?

  • I have a 13 year old mixed breed cat who has recently developed severe respiratory problems. Her breathing is very labored and she produces noticeable wheezing and effort on exhaling, with her abdomen visibly moving in and out. This started about 2 weeks ago and has gradually gotten worse. A few weeks before this she also started scratching her ears frequently and it sounded as if she had a soar throat when she meowed (now no sound comes out). Our vet first suggested that she had a heart problem, but an ultrasound revealed that her heart is fine. They then said she had polyps, but when they operated on her they did not find any. • Ear mites or ear infection?

I checked my Great Danes ears today, after noticing her acting very peculiar. I found her entire ear to be covered in a wet, brown goop. It also has a very foul odor to it. Her other ear was dry, but has dried brown crust in it. I think those are ear mites. But is the other ear, the one with the wet, brown goop, infected? Or is this just a case of very bad ear mites?

  • My 4 month old black lab-mix puppy has a bunch of bumpy lumps in one of her outer ear flaps. is does not appear to be painful, is not itchy, crusty or have any color.. it is inside the skin. She is feisty, happy and has a good appetite and no problems with bowel movements. Is this something I should be worried about?

My ferret had severe ear mites, in the middle of my second week treating him with ferret ear drops, he got a mass behind his era. It's red and swollen and looks like ear mites are nesting there. It sprang up in a day. What should I do?

  • Dogs Ears

Reefa seems to be having trouble with his right ear. He is scatching all the time and shaking his head. He won't let us look but it seems a little dirty and some scabs from scratching. Should we take him to the vet or is it something we can fix?

  • cat advice please

My 18 month old tom cat is displaying symptomsof diarrhoea, lethargy and the white inner protective film on both eyes is not retracting properly and is more needy than usual. He is not off his food and still want to go outside regularly. He also seems to be chasing or looking at things that are not there. His ears are also very hot. Thanks for your help.
