it was hot today and my dog was wrestling with another.shortly afterward he seemed like he couldnt find his balance, started drooling (he never drools) staggered back and forth for a bit, i picked him up and he was still trying to walk in place for a bit, walked in circles, knocked over his water bowl while walking slowly, slightly sideways, and seemed to be somewhere else. i thought he was seriously dying, but shortly thereafter, he started playing and running around normal. i found him on the highway about 6 months ago, and noone knows what breed he is, but is apparently about 12 or 13 years old.

very sick should I have him put to sleep?
Posted on 2008/08/14 by KarieMy 12 yr old sweet ol boy has been feeling really bad, he is lethargic, w0n't sit, only lies on his side. won't walk, eat (only selective foods like a hotdog or a piece of chicken etc.)His bones are starting to show. He has a leaky discharge from his private and the same from his eyes (greenish), It's been a week now and he is no better. He's not throwing up and doesn't seem to be hurting just miserable (but i DON'T KNOW)We do not have the money to take to the vet and I know he is old, I just want to make sure he is not suffering. What should I do? I have been giving him 1 aspirin 2 times a day to help.

My dog is not eating
Posted on 2008/10/08 by UserMy dog is not feeling well. He is not eating and seems depressed, and mucous is coming out of his back teeth that drools out of his mouth. His teeth are in pretty bad shape. This has never happened before and I would like to know what's wrong.

Female Great Dane
Posted on 2008/11/17 by UserMy 2 1/2 year old great dane just had her first litter of puppies. She seems to not be feeling well and she just had another puppy 3 days after having the rest of them. She has a lot of saliva coming from her mouth as well. I took her temperature and it's fine. Do you think she will be OK and was not feeling well because she had a puppy still in her for so long???

Continual Excessive Drooling
Posted on 2008/01/29 by DMy cat just recently started "drooling" excessively. When she sleeps, when she just sits, she has very watery saliva just dripping from her mouth. I noticed yesterday it seemed to start after she appeared to be coughing up a hairball, but after some squeaks and heaving all that came up was drool. Now she won't quit. Should I be concerned?

Odd clear fluid
Posted on 2008/02/01 by UserBackground: My 17 yr old cat has been ill for over a year. The vets said a few months ago there was nothing left to do, but make her comfortable. A sonegram from Jan 2007 showed a black mass on her intestine (don't rememberif it was the large one or the small one), but she was too fragil to handle a biopsy. Therefore, the diagnosis was only a guess: Either Lymphoma, OR a bad case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. My question to you relates to an incident yesterday morning: She was having a drink of water and suddenly let out a loud, AWFUL moan, and fell over. While laying on her side, a large GUSH of clear, odorless fluid came pouring out of her butt. I know it was coming...

Once again, Marley woke up, stiff, drooling, "foam" bubbles coming out of her mouth. This time she had loss of control of her bowles. The episode lasts about 30 seconds. After the episode, she cries, whimpers, and eats for about 10 minutes. Then she is back to her normal playful self.
