  • Calico Mouth Problem

I have a calico cat about 14 years old. I think she's in pretty good health - strong spirited, mostly good appetite. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to take her to the vet in probably 10 years or so because of her disposition with other people. She gets so worked up, the vet has to put on his big padded leather gloves to handle her, and it's quite a bad site to see my cat through such an ordeal. She has developed some kind of mouth/ear infection over the past few years on the right side of her face. It has really hindered her ability to eat and take care of her self. When she yawns, she cries out in pain. I can't touch that side of her face, and like I said, I...

  • Tooth problems

Hi I have a Yorkie who appears to be experiencing problems with his teeth. I have taken him to my local vet and he told me that he needed a dental. Well two weeks later and nothing seems to have changed. He is not eating anything but wet food which he isn't used two which is causeing him to be sick in his tummy and have diarrhea. He seems to have alot of pain in his mouth and won't even eat his fave treats. We have been back to the vet but they didn't really find anything. Is there anything that he might have missed that could be causeing all this? Thx, Lizzy

  • Deciding to Euthanize Cat

I am trying to decide whether to put my cat to sleep. He is 16 years old. Symptoms that have developed in the last couple of days - drooling, only moving to use the litter box or drink, has only eaten tuna, not affectionate. Symptoms that have been around for years - overweight, vomiting (sometimes cat food, sometimes foam), unkempt coat, slow walking and to lie down. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm very upset.
