Drooling

  • Our 2.5 yr old beagle mix Daisy snorts and does hacking coughs occasionally. But sometimes, she'll go into a licking frenzy, snort (not reverse sneezing), swallow, and spit up white mucus. During this frenzy she will eat any fuzz or anything else on the floor (something she doesn't normally do). It's almost like she's trying to clear her nose of mucus and swallow it. If I put her in her crate she will lick the floor of it or the sides. If I hold her she'll try and lick/eat my hair or just lick the air. These episodes can go on for hours, sometimes ALL night long, switching from her constantly licking to hacking coughing (like she's got something in her throat). We have...

  • Weird behavior

My pug tends to do a weird bitting...almost chatter like thing with his mouth. I tend to see him doing this only when he's been smelling something (like the bed, couch, etc.) for a awhile. He'll then start to do that weird chattery thing until he starts to force excess liquid/saliva (i think it's saliva...) onto the object he is smelling. The smell almost smells like urine. What is he doing, and is this a sign of an infection??

  • Advice on what to do

I have a 9 year old Male Boxer. I've started noticing that he has tumors growing in various places on his body. Some are internal and are some are external such as one growing between the pads of his paw. He also has had a couple episodes of falling over and kind of seizing and having labored breathing and sometimes stops breathing for like 15 seconds maybe more. Does it sound like it's going to be an expensive problem if it's treatable? If so, we don't have a lot of money and would it be best to have him put to sleep instead of living with these growths and "seizure" like episodes? I can't stand to see animals suffer and I already feel guilty for not being...

  • cat in dryer

my cat was in the dryer for about 5 min. we put alchohol on her ear tips and pads. She seems to be okay physically but wants to go outside. I am reluctant to let her out yet. Am I right? and also should i be looking for anything in particular now that the immediate crisis is over.
