Drooling

  • Dog

I have a 9 mo old Golden Retriever (rescue) I have had her since Oct 08 and she has never been 'normal' she is half the size, has half the energy, very thin but does have a healthy appetite, drinks alot, and seems to have problems holding her head up. I was told by one vet that it might be a disease that happens in the womb with no cure. Recently she has gotten worse with pacing, drooling and fever. Vet gave her steriods and antibiotics which seemed to help for a while but now she is getting worse. Do you have any ideas what it might be? I don't want a bunch of tests done on her. Thank you

  • Strokes in boxer dogs

My boxer seems to have lost some of the feeling in the left side of his face. He is having difficulty drinking as it runs back out of the left side of his mouth. Earlier today after a short sleep he woke and was a little unsteady on his feet, dragging his back left leg behind him. I assumed he had slept awkwardly and had a 'dead leg'., although he is now running around the garden quite happily. I was wondering if it is likely he may have suffered a stroke, or could it be an inner ear infection, as I have read this can also display these symptoms.

  • vomiting

Male kitten born 1st april (1 of 6 litter), he is the smallest and has just begun eating dry food as well as mother's milk, but every time he eats solid food he is sick. It starts almost immediately with drooling and bubbles at the mouth. Also, his left paw seems to favour bending inwards right towards body when walking, could the leg/paw joint have formed wrongly due to be squashed in the womb. Already been to a vet to be checked when born, nothing was noticed, only that a couple of the kittens have no full tails due to being squashed as per vet. Please advise.. Thankyou. lk

  • flu?

My dog - 8 yr old yellow lab; 95 lbs- just returned from the kennel. We boarded him this past weekend. He seems very lethargic, won't eat (breakfast or supper today) has a snotty nose, seems to be "wheezing" and also looks to be having trouble opening his eyes all the way. He suffers from Addison's disease; which is well-controlled with Percorten (next dose not due until May 24). He shared the kennel with my other dog - 6 month old black lab; 46 lbs) and the little dog seems to be ok, other than a little more sneezing than normal.
