Drooling

  • Dog drooling

Our 1 year pointer started drooling profusely overnight. He seems ok otherwise and is eating and drinking as usual. Do you know what might be causing this and what we should do?

  • sores on tongue

She is having trouble eating, drinking and swallowing, is drooling alot, acts like her tongue doesn't work right. She has red marks around perimeter of tongue. The vet said it looked like she had chewed on an electrical cord or gotten into something that burned her mouth. He gave her clavamox for a week with no improvement and then gave her another weeks worth, saying it looked like burns and it would take quite awhile to recover completely. To me it seems like there should have been at least a little improvement in a week. It also seems odd that the red marks are only around the edges of the tongue. Also, she is an indoor dog and is only outside in our fenced back...

  • Yesterday morning, my wife yelled frantically that my dog was flailing on the ground and could not get up. This was after he somehow got down the stairs and to the back door. I rushed him to the Vet. On the way, I noticed that he was drooling excessively his eyes were foggy, pupils dilated and he had no response to my voice (usually his ears perk and his eyes would look at me no matter how miserable he is). The day prior, he had eaten raw chicken and some plastic off a child's toy (swallowed whole). Originally the vet thought some kind of toxin or small chance of obstruction. The blood work revealed only mild elevations in only a few of the indicators and normal levels...

  • Very worried about new puppy

We just got a puppy today, well she was very shy at first & I was just thinking that she isn't used to her new surroundings. But she is drooling excessively to where on her neck is drenched. We tried to get her to eat food but all she's doing is sleeping right now. I will also add that on our way home she threw up dirt along w/leaves. Is this something to be concerned about? & sorry, I do not have a picture of the puppy, our camera is down.

  • Time to die?

I have an almost 10-yr old rottweiler with cancer. She had her front leg amputated almost one year ago. In the last 48-hours, she stopped moving completely, very shallow breathing, and cries in pain. Is it time to put her down?
