Gator has had very bad diarrhea for a long time which has caused him to drop half his weight. He nows weighs 27 pounds. He is on panacur and albon. He has been on this medicine for a week. And his stool is starting to get a lil bit better. But i cant seem to get him to gain any weight. Is there something i can add to his food that wouldnt hurt his stomach but would help him gain weight?

My 5 year old 30 pound border collie has a small amount of fresh blood in her stool. Everytime I go away for a weekend and she stays with some one else she gets it. She has formed stools in the morning and softer in the evening with a small amount ( a teaspoon) of liquid stool. I have changed her diet....that could be the problem....and I have given her 1 cup of nonfat cottage cheese every day. Her energy is high. She has had this problem intermitently all her life. This episode has lasted about a week. My vet has given her antibiotics 3 times in the past, but I feel it may be emotional. We got a 7 week old Yorkie puppy Tuesday. Wednesday she had to be taken to the vet with seizures. They believed it was hypoglycemia, perked her back up and said if she does it again come back. She started it again this morning so I took her back to the vet's office. Again, hypoglycemia. She ate just before we went to bed last night but sometime during the night this all came on. (She ate probably 5 times yesterday.) Food and water are left out so all she has to do is eat. Today they gave me a tube of Nutri-Cal and told me to give it to her every 30 minutes til she eats. That was about 11am, it's now almost 9pm and she still won't eat. Has only taken a sip or two of water...
