  • Teething

My 23 week old Yorkshrie Terrier puppy is teething at the moment. I have noticed that on his bottom jaw he has a fang on each side with a new one growing on the inside of each. Will the new ones push the existing ones out or should I take him to my vet?

  • vomiting

My ten year old Papillon is vomiting bile every morning. Her appetite is good, we feed in the evening, and her activity level is the same. We feed Bil-Jac dry food with Nutro canned mixed in. She does have some bad teeth. Many have been extracted. She will no longer allow me to brush and she has never wanted to chew, to keep her teeth clean, other than Bil-Jac liver biscuits. We are on a fixed income and an expensive Vet visit is out of the question.

  • I have a 17 year old cat who has shown signs of aging for the past year or so. Last year I had blood work done after he lost a lot of weight and had increased thirst and hunger. All came back normal. Two weeks ago, my cats stomach appeared bloated significantly. I thought it was either constipation or fluid. When I brought him to the vet for an emergency visit, it was confirmed by xray that it is fluid in his abdomen. The problem is that the cause if not known. The vet thinks it could be cancer or kidney disease, but has ruled out heart problems and infectious diseases as my cats remain indoors. I could get an ultrasound done to determine the cause but I don't want to...

  • pain releif for cats

What can I safely give my cat for pain relief? He is 16 yrs old, has bleeding gums. Although he still has a very good apetite , he has problems chewing. There is no way I can afford to bring him to a vet right now for antibiotics, though he is current with all vaccines, etc and has always been so. thanks

  • Elderly Cat Toilet Habits

My cat is almost 17 years old. Recently, he has begun urinating and defacating where he eats and sleeps. I was concerned that he was unable to get to his litter box, but he does OK for his age. I don't know if he is doing this because he is mad about something or if he is really sick. I've tried everything I know, multiple litter boxes in convenient locations, different foods, but nothing seems to stop this behavior. What do you recommend? I am really getting tired of constantly picking up and cleanng up behind him. Thanks

  • Stray Kitten found in a ditch

I recently lost my best friend (casey aka-boo boo kitty) I had her for 18yrs. Driving home one night We found a kitten in a wet ditch in the freezing cold. I took him home to nurse him and find him a home. He had to have been about 6 weeks old. My 5yr old fell in love so needless to say we still have him. I was laid off from my job so cannot have all the tests run that he needs. I took him to my vet to get weighed and wormed. He is now about 7mos old, he sneezes all the time, he vomits only sometimes, he gets diarrhea all the time and passes mucus and blood in it. He can be walking in the house and the blood and mucus will just just drip out with stool as he has no...
