overdose of dewormer
Posted on 2008/10/06 by UserI adopted a jack russell from the humane society and was not told that they had given him a dewormer, finding worms in his stool I took him to the vet that nuetered him and he gave him a dewormer. This dog weighs 13lbs. and is on amoxocillan. He is not himself all he does is sleep and when he has a bowel movement it is a dark green jello type. Is it possible for him to have been overdosed and what can I do to help him feel better?

Obstruction in throat? Caused from first heat?
Posted on 2008/10/14 by RyanI'm not sure what is wrong with my dog. Her name is Hannah. She is a two year old chi, but has had challenges to face her whole life. She was born premature, had seizures from apparent hydrosyphilis, and is now very ill. I know everyone has two pound dogs, but mine really is. Well she was 2.6 lbs last week, now she is 2 lb on the dot. She started her first heat three weeks ago. Everything was fine until last week. For some reason, she can't keep any solid food down. She wanted to eat at first, now everytime she eats something solid, she lets out a terrible shreek and then vomits almost immediately. She has very little energy. She is normally so jumpy, now she just...

Halloween Candie mayhem
Posted on 2008/10/20 by Usermy dog (irish wolfhound/lab mix) is 80lbs..he ate 1 1/2 lb of halloween candy (Wrappers and all) 36 hours ago. I tried to induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide (but he wouldn't vomit!!). He has eaten regular food twice since then, he has drunk normal amounts of water..he has even been playfull. Yesterday (18 hours after the candy ingestion) he started walking/playing with his tail between his legs (he usually has his tail propped up). Last night he was very sensitive around the base of his tail. He has not deficated since yesterday (when his tail started to slump). I am concerned about a blockage, but he is not vomiting or salivating. I don't want to take him to the...
