What is wrong with my cat?
Posted on 2008/01/31 by CarolineMy cat won't eat, drink, or use the litter box. She has lost her energy and doesn't play or walk around much. Sometimes she also vomits, but not continually. We just moved and I thought she was adjusting to the change, but it's been 5 days and she hasn't gotten better. I have been force feeding her water from a dropper to keep her alive. I can't afford a lot of expensive vet tests. What could it possibly be? Anything I can do for her at home?

10 year old male neutered cat. is usually independent and "opinionated", eats well, very vocal and mischevious. Is now crouching and slinking around, growling frequently and looks very uncomfortable. Last fecal I can attribute (have two cats)to him were small round balls. Constipated? Have not taken a temp/ has been urinating in unacceptable places

My 14 year old cat has had for 2 weeks now a mushy stool and then a harder more constipated stool all in the same day and mostly the poop will stay in there. We had to help him get it out just now. His rectum is so red and he hurts. Does this sound like Irritable Bowel and if so is it necessary to have a scope and biopsy done? Or can we just try to change his diet? He just had blood work and x rays done a couple of days ago and all was well.

Intestinal problem
Posted on 2008/02/13 by UserMy mother has an English Bulldog named Bud who ate beef sparerib bones over the weekend and now Bud has lost his appetite and is unable to go to the bathroom. My mother took him to our local vet and they gave him an enima, which helped his situation but did not remove the bones. After the enima, they x-rayed him and still saw the mass of bones. They sent Bud home hoping that either the bones would dissolve or that he would pass them. Our vet said that performing surgery would be out of the question due to the fact that Bud is on the medicine predizone and he is also overweight. Is there anything that we can do to speed up the process of dissolving the bones? Any...
