I just got a chihuahua we think she is about 4 yrs old. When i got her the people told me that the previous owner whom they rescued her from was feeding her table foods and now she wont eat. I gave her soft dog food for the first week then i mixed dry and soft foods together to see if she would eat. She didnt. But she wants to eat the skin off the chicken ,turkey bacon,and hamburger(all have to be medium cooked). Is that good for her or should I be worried???? She also will eat the chicken jerky treats, snausages and rawhinds(smoked). Please help to understand how to help her ease into a better diet.

Hamster with rear issues
Posted on 2009/07/07 by UserI rescued my dwarf hamster from a pet store in May. Every time it was put in a cage with other hamsters they viciously attacked it. She has chunks out of her ears, patches of fur missing that are scarred over, as well as scar tissue on her butt. Her tail is missing and she can't squeeze out poop because it appears that her rectum is damaged. Her underside glands near her butt also appear swollen. From day one, she had a scent that made me wonder if that was the cause of the attacks. She eats constantly and her poop is soft and green. It's about the size of the tip of your pinky, gets stuck and stretches out her butt. She's very alert, active and seems happy but I know...

sick guinea pig

His eye looks infected and its runny and crusty as well as is his nose, he's not eating or drinking, he's been sneezing and breathing funny, and hes weak. He's also tremmbling and hasnt used the "bathroom" either. He's been like this for like 3days and it started with what looked like an eye infection but it worsend into well what it is now. Do you think whatever he has is curable? I feel really bad but i dont want to pay a vet to tell me that he doesn't have mcuh longer to live. I dont know his age either he was given to me about 8months ago. Think you can help?

I took him back out a little later, but still nothing. His back was still hunched as if he was still trying to go. So eventually we went to sleep, but woke this morning to find that he had vomitted. When i tried to retrieve him from under my bed he snapped and slightly bit my hand! At first i thought he might just be constipated but now i think it may be something far more than constipation! Lump im my rabbits tummy
Posted on 2009/07/16 by UserMy rabbit has a lump in her tummy the vet has given me fibre paste and liquid parafin incase its a blockage but thinks its more likely to be a tumour she isnt even a year old yet so i dont want to give up on her yet. can u tell me the chances of her pulling through if i have her opperated on (it is a large lump almost the size of her tummy and she is only a small lion head. thank you

Do you think it is polio? Could it be something else? because he is showing the same symptoms as the last llama.
