Dog Fell
Posted on 2008/09/28 by Ernie MartinezI am concerned over the way my male Pom has been walking. He fell coming in and going out of the house on the steps by the back door. He sems to walk ok at times, but other times, such as this morning, he was having difficulty walking in the yard. I notice that sometime his right leg will slip under him what can this be? I have left a message for his regular vet but since it is sunday, I have to wait.

Posted on 2008/09/14 by marilyn dayhi, this will be long, but i am scared. my pug has been fine until this friday. she came in heat around aug. 7, tried to keep her and male pug seperated. my son let them both out at the same time to go to take care of normal business when we got home. this was aug. 12 and i caught them. everything has been fine till now. first notice small clear wet spots on floor with a blood clot in them. four on one day, two the next day. she was still happy and full of energy. then noticed she was trembling, and then there was urine in blood. at first she dranked alot, now the only thing i can get her to drink is watered down milk with a egg in it.(i hope this safe) lost her appetite ...

lameness
Posted on 2008/09/01 by teresa hewittPepper jumped off of our bed about about a week ago.He sounded like he landed a little hard. He was okay the first couple of days except he wouldnt jump on the bed or anything. Then he suddenly stopped walking. He would only drag himself aroun. We carried him to the vet. They did spinal hip and skull xrays, Everything came back normal. They also did bloodwork which was normal. They really have no explanation for what is wrong. They sent him home on prednisone. They said he may walk in a few days or it could be weeks. They just dont know, He does'nt seem to be in any pain and he is very alert. He also eats really well. I have noticed since he has been home he ha ...

WHAT HAPPENED
Posted on 2008/07/10 by Chaz Sivadit was hot today and my dog was wrestling with another.shortly afterward he seemed like he couldnt find his balance, started drooling (he never drools) staggered back and forth for a bit, i picked him up and he was still trying to walk in place for a bit, walked in circles, knocked over his water bowl while walking slowly, slightly sideways, and seemed to be somewhere else. i thought he was seriously dying, but shortly thereafter, he started playing and running around normal. i found him on the highway about 6 months ago, and noone knows what breed he is, but is apparently about 12 or 13 years old.

Has my kitty lost his love for life?
Posted on 2008/06/20 by UserMy loving cat, "Mr. Whiskers", for many months, has not been his active self. I have taken him to several vets wanting to know answers to his progressive symptoms: dragging of left hind leg (if he moves),staggering/falling, walking against walls, head tilt, hiding under the bed, lack of interest in play, lack of eating/urination, little meowing and more moaning, eye infection/lazy right eye, urination trouble (while I hold him) and seizures. Mr. Whiskers's vet placed him on 1/2 pill of Predisone every two days. In addition, I was told just to make him confortable since his demise could be near. Since his last seizure (about a month ago) Mr. Whiskers has b ...

Fainting
Posted on 2008/06/14 by Michael WardFriday, my puppy {Akita} who is about 70 lbs, stands about knee high to me {large boned} he was laying down, got up and put his front paws on the bed to stand up and give us love. He got this blank stare in his eyes and passed out. He also urinated on himself. The whole episode lasted maybe 20-30 secs. He didn't seem to be seizing. We are worried this is a neurological issue. I have had several large dogs and never seen this before. We are stressed over this, due to wanting to breed with our female, but worried about the puppy's health.
