  My 11 year old female black lab has been sneezing, sometimes uncontrollably, the past 2 days. She seems to also have a fever. Do dogs get colds and if so, should they be taken to the vet for treatment?

• seizzures and medication

  max has seizures and fits, he is on medication and is suppose to eat before taking medication. Is it ok to give him milk to coat his stomach before taking the medication. The medication makes him vomit if he does not eat something first. I am also considering having him tested for lead. The medication is not working very well.

  My 14yr old male Brussles Griffon has gagging fits where he can't seem to breath and tries to hack up something but never has a discharge. He then loses control of his bowls and pees on floor and then his front legs weaken and he collapes and can't move for awhile. He eventually recovers enought to move but with difficulty. Doesn't hardly eat, licks his feet a lot, sleeps all the time and doesn't really want any attention. Doesn't seem to have a fever. Fits usually happen at night. I am very worried?

• Sick puppy

  My husband and I just adopted a dog. We have been told she is an Australian Shepard/ Jack Russell terrier mix. We brought her home yesterday. She is still very hyper, but I've noticed she has some crusting on her nose, when she breathes she blows bubbles with the snoot, she also wheezes when she breaths. What would be wrong? Should I take her to a vet?

• i think my dog is dying

  i think my friends dog is dying. its lost most of its hair and the first layer of its skin in a lot of places. hes covered in scabs and raw skin. hes really sick and doesnt want to eat and hes just laying there and even when he puts his head up he keeps his eyes closed. hes in a lot of pain. and he starts heaving and breathing heavy and i think its death rattles. what can we do? its the middle of the night and we cant even go to a pet hospital because they require a $500 deposit and we dont have it. what can i do?

  My poodle is taking Lasix 20mg, Enlaparil, Arbutal, and Temaril-P. She now has bad breath, throwing up, drooling and her tongue tip is black. Could it be her medication?

• ideas for max

  My 7yr 62lb golden Max went to the vet 10days ago with symtoms of not eating, shaking, hind legs seem painful. He has trouble getting up and going down stairs and bending down to go to the bathroom. They took Xrays and he did show a very small amt of arthirtis in lower back and in hips but nothing major. They also did a blood test and all of his organs showed in good health. He has been on antibiotics and rymidal since and it seems like nothing has changed. He will seem like he feels better for a few hours and then we are right back to where we were. I have another appt for him this week but is there anything you can think of that I can bring up to his vet to check...

• Dog Colds?

  My dog (adult, 3 yrs old) sounds like she is having problems breathing at night (she makes a lot of noises that sound like a person with a cold). Can she get a cold? Also, I've heard children's benyadral (sp?) can be used to help her symptoms? Is that true?

• injured puppy

  My dog just had puppies about a week ago and one of the puppies got stuck between some furniture when my fathe tried to pull the puppy out its arm tore like about half an inch from its body and the puppys tepature is getting realy cold what can i do cos I dont have any money to take it to a vet????
