We have had Baby since she was 6 wks old. We keep her inside the house. We let her out of the cage frequently for exersice. For the first 4 months, everything was great. She only pooped when in her cage and only peed in her special potty box. About 2 weeks ago she started pooping outside of the cage as soon as we let her out, about a week ago she also started peeing on our rug. So we have had to keep her in her cage much more then we would like to. Even when she is in her cage she does not always pee in her potty box like before. I have notice that some times her pee is a reddish orange color, sometimes there is a milky color to her pee and sometiems it is normal...

Odd behavior following walks
Posted on 2008/03/05 by RolandAfter returning home from walks, Zoe acts oddly. As soon as she gets home, she takes a toy and carries it in her mouth while pacing frantically through the house for about 1 hour. This happens each time she goes for a walk. What does this behavior mean? Otherwise, she is playful, energetic, and affectionate.

Defecation changes
Posted on 2008/03/07 by UserWe have a 13 year old German shapard/Austraalian shepard mix and very recently (the last month) we have noticed a change in her defecation behavior. Previous she used to go on grass or the side of the road/sidewalk; but recently she will go in the middle of the sidewalk/road (like a horse). The vet said this is normal for a dog her age but it can be embarrassing because she has always had a delicate digestive system. Everything else is good for her age. She is arthritic (we give her ketoprofen). Any ideas?

Dog marking everywhere!
Posted on 2008/03/08 by NicoleEin will not stop urinating on EVERYTHING. He is obviously trying to mark his teritory. I've tried repremanding him (the classic rub his nose in it and a newspaper)however, he gets extremely violent. So I guess this is two questions: what can I do to stop him from marking and what can I do about is severely violent behavior? (by violent, I mean: severe lashing out, loud and violent growling and barking and worst of all biting...hard enough to break skin and leave scars.)
