  • Weird mouth issues

My cat is licking her mouth a lot. She act very skidish when you approach her and I've caught her with her tounge hanging out several times this evening. She's also slobbering some. Her nose is warm and she seems to be trying to sleep it off. Any thoughts?

  • Cat question

My cat is 21 years old. She has a thryroid problem and we give her methinezole 5mg. I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly. I changed her litter box 4 days ago and she has only had one bowel movement and it looks like a couple of urine spots are in the box. She will not come out of her litter box and meows/crys when I pick her up. She has been eating and drinking normally. She had a bladder infection about 4 months ago. Could this be another bladder infection or could her body be shutting down from old age? Any suggestions?

  • Diabetes/Low Thyroid

Last week, Moby (94 lbs) began drinking excessive amounts of water (this was a sudden change). After a couple of days of this, he began waking me during the night to take him outside to wet. This progressed to his not having enough control to let me know and he had accidents inside two consecutive nights. I took him to the vet on Friday, they drew blood and tested his urine. The results indicate he is diabetic and his thyroid level is low. His blood sugar was 400. Additional blood work indicated that his organs have not been affected. Friday night, he needed to go outside to wet approximately every 1 1/2 hours and all night he still could not get enough water. ...

  • Bathroom Yelping

HI. I have a springer spaniel border collie cross who is 14mo's old. He is an outside dog. 6 days ago when I got home from work I noticed he had been bleeding from the back end. He won't let us lift his tail and he is very tender by his tailbone. He tries to bite us if we lift his tail. There seems to be no evidence of getting hit or anything. He seems real sheepish towards us now too. Anytime he tries to go to the bathroom he cries and yelps. Any advice or suggestions on what this could be? His appetite is fine. He's not the same dog anymore, not sure what happened. He used to be excited when he'd see us but now he just wants to lay around. Thanks, Cheryl
