My 14yr old neutered male cat has been, on more than one occasion, caught ahhhh....trying to "do" his housemate. The thing is his house mate is Purranha who is 5 and they have both been neutered since they were kittens. I managed to get a picture but i don't think i need to explain what could be considered kitty porn. (groan, sry for the bad joke). Omelet's regular vet has noticed a heart murmur and an enlarged thyroid in him, but she says that is not unusual in a cat of his age. He also has anxiety issues if I am away for more than several days. (I prefer to have my guys at home with a cat sitter, usually my roommate, whom he knows well rather than boarding...

strange behavior in old dog
Posted on 2008/01/03 by KathyMy 11 year old husky/sheperd mixed breed has been acting strangely for the past few days. She seems like she is afraid of something. She follows me around and trys to hide in small spaces. Right now she is laying behind the couch. She just doesn't seem right. Any ideas. I have heard that dogs will go off on their own and hide when they are dying, but she has been very healthy all her life.

??Brain tumor
Posted on 2008/01/24 by DMy 15 year old Bichon is blind s/p unsuccesful cataract surgery; now deaf - unknown cause; has started barking and wanting something 2-5 times each night. We finally figured out he wanted food - then drinks of water - then to go out He had a grand mal seizure after being upset about getting dried after a bath, none observed except that one. He paces constantly, had a motor deficit episode this weekend that seems to have resvoled except for odd head tilt movements - almost like Tourettes! I am thinking brain tumor - any thoughts?? Diane

please help!!!
Posted on 2008/01/28 by UserMy 7-year-old cat has stooped pooping in her litter box about 3 months ago, but continues to urinate in it. I have had this cat since she was a kitten, and never had a problem like this. We moved into a new house about 6 months, and brought home a new dog about 1 year ago, but she was fine with both of these changes. We have taken her to our vet many times, and the vet now believes it is a behavioral problem. She has had numerous exams, and not had any medical problems other than a treated UTI. We have tried antibiotics, steroids, and anti-depressants with no success. We have tried discipline, new litter, removing the lid from the litter box, and moving the box. ...

CoCo is very lethargic and drooling allot. Her drool seems ot be some what mucosy. Should I be concerned? Should I take her into to see her vet?

My cat is 5 1/2 years old. Over the last several days, she has been vomiting 4 times a day. Her food has not changed, though we did change the brand of litter last week. The vomit is mostly watery with few signs of food digested. In addition, she is slightly overweight since she is an indoor cat. She also has a strange habit of not enjoying her food if the kibbles are crumbs. Should we be very concerned and take her to a vet immediately?

Dog ate dried figs, help!!
Posted on 2008/01/28 by UserMy 23 lb. miniature schnauzer ate about 1 1/2 cups of dried figs. He seems to have an upset stomach and wants to go out constantly. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to give him too much water because I am afraid they will expand. Any advice?

Behavioral Problem
Posted on 2008/01/29 by UserI have two 6 year old cats (male and female/both neutered and spayed) who have lived together peacfully until now. My female suddenly overnight has become very aggressive towards my male cat. Biting, scratching - as if she wants to kill him. I'm at a loss. I have an appointment with my vet on Friday, but they are currently separated. Have you ever heard of this and any advice you can give would be appreciated. Thank you, Debbie P.
