My 1 year old cat has been acting strange. She goes around in circles, seems like she may have gone blind, and seems disoriented and lethargic. She will eat and drink if I hold her. Her pupils are dilated. I know she needs to go to the vet, but we just spent our last penny on getting my daughter evaluated for autism. This was $3000 that insurance did not cover. I am not someone who is irresponsible, and I usually take my pets to the vet right away if there is a problem, but as I said, we can't right now. We are literally living off PB&J's at the moment.

Dog diagnosed with intestinal bacterial infection on Friday. He was put on amoxicillian. Feces is not as soft but still has some mucous, at times dog acts strange and other not. He is eating some now on his own where the past fews days I had to feed him by hand. Is this normal? How long will it take him to get over this?

vomiting, blood in stool, tests with no...
Posted on 2009/07/31 by UserTwo days ago our puggle starting vomiting every 3 hours, all bile. We took her to the vet after 24 hours of this. They took an x-ray, said everything looked good, gave her subcutaneous fluid, amoxycillin, and ceratan (anti-vomiting?). After 2 days at home, eating, taking her meds, and having just a lack of energy she stopped eating tonight. She then had a bowel movement that had blood in it and we took her to the emergency vet. They did bloodwork and looked at the stool and found nothing. They now sent us home again with a new antibiotic, most fluid injections, and an anti-diarreha medication, but no answers yet again. What could possibly be wrong with our dog, we...

Inroducing new cat to current cat
Posted on 2009/07/31 by UserI have a female cat that I rescued from outside. I have had her about 6 months. She is not yet fixed, I am waiting till she is finished with her heat. She is between 1.5-2yrs. She is sweet, loving and calm. She was previously owned because she knew how to behave like a indoor cat (litter, dry food etc). My roommate just rescued a kitten, female, from outside as well between 4-6wks. I know that introducing them is a long process and it has not been long but I have noticed that my cat is very skittish when she smells the kitten. She still hisses and growls but she runs away from the smell. I think that maybe she was attacked a lot by the ferale cats outside between the...
