• Chewing

  I have an 8 month old yellow male lab, who has chewed two beds I have purchased for him in the past couple of months. He was five months old when I adopted him. What do you suggest ? vavictor@verizon.net

  My cat is an indoor kitty.A little more than three weeks ago,he got out in a severe storm.He was lost for three days but came home.He was dirty,lost a bit of weight but,in general,looked ok.I changed his food from dry to wet to help him gain his weight back.He had a small "normal"discharge from one eye,nothing significant.Six days ago,there was a marked change in his behavior.He will not come when called.He does not want to be held(this is a cat that stayed in my arms all day).He no longer sleeps with me as he did.He cried constantly to go outside.When I wouldn't let him,he urinated on a sofa(not a spray-saturated).He cleaned himself excessively(all over,not...

  i stepped on my 3 month old kitten in the stomache area, she is now breathing heavy and slightly weezing, and is not moving much, is she gonna be okay? what should i do?

  why does my dog chew her rectum until it bleeds? Could it be due to rawhide chews? She won't let me get close enough to take a photo of it.

  My Chihuahua has a red spot and purple discoloration on her abdomen, thigh and leg, with swelling on her inner thigh. There is irration and redness around her anus. She is not eating and is listless. What to do?

  hi. My cat seems to have an eye infection. He's got some pus and what looks like a "gooey" substance around it. He looks like he just finished 9 rounds in a boxing ring because his left eye is closed.

• grieving, mourning, depression

  Hi, I've got a 9 year old male cat, Humunculus, who just lost his biological brother (same litter - always been together) to heart problems. My problem is that the cat seems to be mourning and I can't help him. He's lost weight; he isn't grooming himself, he's not hunting; he just lays around. If he sees me, he meows at me at doesn't really move a lot. He looks and sounds sad. My husband thinks I'm personifying him. Humunculus is usually pretty active and an avid hunter. He loves to cuddle with me and sit on my lap. Now I have to find him, pick him up, and he seems to just tolerate it. He's able to move - he just seems to be going through the day like a zombie. ...

  my dog seems to lick a lot. He licks feet, the floor, his bed the couch but not usually himself. Is this a sign of any medical conditions. He sometime spits up.

  my cat, she is very healthy and very playful until on the 3th June, i bring her to the vet for an injection, after that she is still ok, but in the morning when i wke up i found out that she is walking like a drunk person and late in the evening she can't even walk until today
