My cat is an indoor kitty.A little more than three weeks ago,he got out in a severe storm.He was lost for three days but came home.He was dirty,lost a bit of weight but,in general,looked ok.I changed his food from dry to wet to help him gain his weight back.He had a small "normal"discharge from one eye,nothing significant.Six days ago,there was a marked change in his behavior.He will not come when called.He does not want to be held(this is a cat that stayed in my arms all day).He no longer sleeps with me as he did.He cried constantly to go outside.When I wouldn't let him,he urinated on a sofa(not a spray-saturated).He cleaned himself excessively(all over,not...

my dog seems to lick a lot. He licks feet, the floor, his bed the couch but not usually himself. Is this a sign of any medical conditions. He sometime spits up.

Weird behavior
Posted on 2008/09/02 by RafiMy pug tends to do a weird bitting...almost chatter like thing with his mouth. I tend to see him doing this only when he's been smelling something (like the bed, couch, etc.) for a awhile. He'll then start to do that weird chattery thing until he starts to force excess liquid/saliva (i think it's saliva...) onto the object he is smelling. The smell almost smells like urine. What is he doing, and is this a sign of an infection??

Cat will not eat...vet doesn't know why...

There have been several changes in his life in the past six months: new owner and home, packing and moving to another new home. The vet that I took him to found a lump on his thyroid, but can not seem to find a reason why the cat will not eat. Any suggestions?
