  • bearded dragon behavior

My male bearded dragon started waving his front legs almost in slow motion it seems, when we introduced a female into the tank. She is allot bigger then he is, but they get along. He will slowly creep up to her and he will wave one front leg at a time, or he will climb on top of her. Another question I have is my female starting digging holes in the sand, and it seems like she wants to get out. She trying to climb up the side of the glass. What are these bearded dragons doing?

  • I have a 5 or 6 month female leopard gecko and I suspect she's pregnant. I left her at home with my sister for a couple of weeks and she swears she never put our male in with the little female, but I have a hard time believing that, seeing as there are very noticeable eggs in my little leo's belly. Where do I go from here? How do I keep her comfortable and happy, and will this stunt her growth? She weighs 51.8g at the moment and measures 7 inches long. Will this hurt her?

  • last night i noticed my something hanging out of my bearded dragon and did som research and found out it was a prolapse. i dont know if it is a rectum prolapse or something else but i cant get to the vets until tomorrow morning (if they have any appointments then) and i really want to try everything to make him comfortable until then. I know a prolapse is a very serious thing especially in reptiles but i want to do everything possbile to help him. Any advice you can give would be great

  • I've had a sand boa since April 2008. For the most part, care has been easy. However, she hasn't eaten since November 2008 (I just tried to feed her again a couple of weeks ago, and she refuses). Also, her face has looked kinda messed up for a while, especially her eyes. Initially, I took that to mean that she was going to shed soon, but again, she's looked like that since November. Today, as shown in the picture, she's been outside on top of her substrate all day... she's barely ever out from underneath the substrate, and if she is, only for a short time. I'm really starting to worry about her, and there's nowhere around here that I can taker her. Could you please give...

  • Swallowed Foreign Object

Please help! Yesterday my leopard gecko swallowed a hard, plastic leaf in his terrarium! He did have a bowel movement this morning, and he is acting normal, but I don't know if the plastic will be able to pass through his little system. Can he survive this? Is there anything I can do for him?

  • I just purchased a Ball Python from a private owner who climed to be afraid of him.(yea right) The guy we got him from had him with his setup complete with everything. When I got him home, he started actin g as if he was either trying to Regergetate or trying to breathe. He jerks his head up and opens his mouth. The guy told me he had not eaten in two weeks. When I got him home, I also put water i his bowl and he drank right away. I am afraid that he has Pnuemonia because I had a yellowhead Reticulated Pyhton die from it and I don't want the same to happen to this one. I do not have any background on the snake at all, so ANY INFORMATION would be greatly appreciated.
