I have a male veiled chameleon that has been acting strange for he past 10 days. he is about 2 years old, has been fed, crickets, mealworms, and wax worms. Just the other day he would not use one back leg. He will use it but doesn't. The grip in that foot is low but has some grip. After that he was sleeping on the bottom of his cage. He will eat but is not shooting his tongue out anymore, we have to place food in his mouth. He appears weak, and I don't think he has gotten enough calcium powder. One eye looks sunken in to his face. Any help with be greatly appreciated.

SICK BALL PYTHON
Posted on 2009/09/23 by GabriellaHi, I had been on here earlier and his Pneumonia is getting better finally. Although lately he's been VERY lethargic and I understand that he should be since he's in the process of recovering. But he just lays in the same spot every day and night (He is not dead either) I mean I haven't even have gotten to see him get a drink. I've been leaving him alone because I didn't want to make things worse but he seems almost like he's losing his will to live. Should I start taking him out every other day or so? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

EMERGENCY w/ Ball Python!
Posted on 2009/09/12 by GabriellaHi, my Ball Python is very sick with pneumonia, and I have a feeling that something else is wrong. He's been on two daily medications for over a month now and is still showing no signs of getting better. Also it looks like he has retained eye caps, though he does not look like he needs to shed, and his eyes have been clear after his last shed until recently. Also his scales are becoming flaky and hes visited the vet several times but they keep telling us healing for snakes takes time, but I would not guess to this extent...I have a feeling if I don't figure out what else is wrong with him... there may be a deadly consequence. Can someone help me please?

My turtle won't eat.
Posted on 2009/08/17 by UserHi, there. I got my pet turtle a couple of days ago from Florida. He's a Red Eared Slider, so I've been told. He's refusing to eat. He's in a plastic container. I can't for the life of me seem to win with him. I got a submerging water heater and that is failing on me. I don't know what to do with that. It's impossible. I also got a thermometer. He likes to hide under the large scaling rocks I placed in his "tank", also. I'm worried for him and I would like him to live a long time, but I need some person to person, step by step instructions. Is there any way you could help me?

Columbian redtail boa constrictor
Posted on 2009/07/25 by UserMy baby redtail boa regurgitated a meal 3 days ago (the food item was slightly too large) and starting today has been moving slow and weak. Also her tongue flickering is slower than usual. I moved my finger in front of her face to stimulate her to smell with her tongue to watch closely at the speed and it actually touched my finger where it stayed out briefly before she pulled it back in. There is no vet available at this time and I would like to know any possible problems that could be going on with her. Please and thank you
