snake skin
Posted on 2008/01/25 by UserI have a four foot long african rock python. I got her about to weeks ago from one of our pet store we distibute to (i am a hamster breeder). She was returned to the store as a very aggresive animal (which she is) and with "some" minor wounds. Yeah right it looks like a dog got ahold of her. sShe is healing fine from that injury but, today when i was cleaning her cage i noticed that she was missing some skin meaning the skin has been removed to the fatty area but not to the muscle. I also noticed that while handling her her skin is very sensitve and breaks easy. is this someing i should be extemely concernd about or just cautios about?

Ball Python
Posted on 2008/11/30 by UserHi, I got a baby ball python about 3 months ago. Over the past few weeks I've noticed that he hasn't been his normal self. He's no where near as active as he once was and has yet to completely shed after 3 weeks. I know that pythons are nocturnal but I've noticed that even at night he doesn't come out of his hide box. I noticed wrinkles in the skin towards the head and thought this was a sign of dehydration. The temp and humidity in the terarium is where it should be however and he is still eating and drinking. What should I do?

jackson chameleons swollen eye
Posted on 2009/10/12 by UserMy Jackson Chameleon has a swollen eye. he can't open it anymore, it looks like there is water under the whole lid, maybe like a bubble inside (not moving) swollen eye lid. he barely moved today, since he can only see on one eye. he also has a swollen foot, which he had hanging of where he was sitting, it does,'t looks like he has infected toe nails... but he was still active and moving a lot, just wasn't using his foot as much. well, one week later -now- he has also the swollen eye, he is using the foot again, but i think just because he can't see on one side. what should i do? Please help me and my chameleon.
