snake skin
Posted on 2008/01/25 by UserI have a four foot long african rock python. I got her about to weeks ago from one of our pet store we distibute to (i am a hamster breeder). She was returned to the store as a very aggresive animal (which she is) and with "some" minor wounds. Yeah right it looks like a dog got ahold of her. sShe is healing fine from that injury but, today when i was cleaning her cage i noticed that she was missing some skin meaning the skin has been removed to the fatty area but not to the muscle. I also noticed that while handling her her skin is very sensitve and breaks easy. is this someing i should be extemely concernd about or just cautios about?

Green iguana - protruding scales
Posted on 2007/11/19 by K H ChanCertain part of the body scales of my green iguana are protruding (erected), look waxy and smelly. Looks like there is swelling under the skin that causes the erected scales. Eating habit normal. What causes this and how to cure it?
