We recently found a bunny at the local RSPCA and she came home to us on Saturday, however when we got her home we noticed (did not notice this when we saw her in centre) that around her rear end she had some matted very dirty fur with feaces matted into it, then we noticed some patches of fur missing and that parts of it looked very sore...... we rang the RSPCA who took her back and they are meant to be ringing us with an update but haven't yet and I would really like to get some idea of what this might be if anyone knows? Thanks Jane

My3 year old german Lop ear Rabbit
Posted on 2009/06/28 by Lynhi, My 3 1/2 year old German Lop Doe has had 2 litters and I had retired her although she seems to love her babies! However, i had a stroke and in hospital quite a long time and my neighbours took all my rabbits over to theirs to look after. On my return I was shocked to see how fet Kookie is and most important they had aquited another 14 bunnies for themselves to breed. They had even halved my 6 feet hutches with a partition and Kookie was stuck in this all day. She didn't get any exercise which she is used to. my German buck has become aggressive and biting. Pet Rabbit with Skin Condition
Posted on 2009/06/24 by UserHi. At the advice of a friend with a lot of animal experience, I have been treating my rabbit with a spray called Krudbuster. She had what looked like clumpy white dandruff on her back and was losing it in small patches. Also the bunny has wet fur all around her left eye that never dries up. I don't think the animal is getting better, or she has a different problem, maybe Cheyletiella Mites (I just read about that). She has lost a lot of fur and she has a lot of visible pink skin, also a wound or two from scratching. Marshmallow is a white bunny with specks of black, orange, and brown. I'm not sure if she's male or female, I think female. I would like to treat her...

Bad rabbit foot.
Posted on 2009/06/22 by UserHi, my rabbit escaped out of her cage (about 50cm high) and was found in the garden yesterday morning. Since then she hasn`t used her front right leg for moving around, but has washed her face with it. There was a small amount of blood found on her foot fur but there wasnt much, very little. This morning she seems to be using it less, she is still eating well and seems ok walking around. She is an old rabbit now probably around 8 or 9 years old what should I do? Please help, many thanks Rhian.

rabbit not well-not eating
Posted on 2009/06/13 by Userhi, our rabbit is between 5-6 years old and is usually quite large and fluffy but over the last few days he appears to be extremely thin and doesn't appear to be eating. He has sore/wattery eyes and seams very weak and shakey. Is there anything we can do for him asap?
