Chinchilla Health
Posted on 2008/10/21 by UserI have a pet chinchilla and i am have her on a pretty normal routine but she is been acting kind of different lately and im wondering if i could be giving her too many treats. In the morning she gets one dried apple slice, midday she gets one very small cube of dried papaya and at night she gets one yogurt drop. I usually feed her cheerios or shredded wheat throughout the day and she always has timothy hay and pellets. Is this ok?

what killed my gerbil?
Posted on 2008/10/20 by UserWill etreme heat kill a gerbil? My friend left his heat on over night while he was away and it got hot enough in his apt. to melt candles. The gerbils had plenty of food and water. We are wondering if this could have killed his gerbils or if he should be worried about cabonmonoxide.

my chinchilla
Posted on 2008/10/14 by stacyLast night I noticed that my chinchilla was acting odd it was like a hiccup and then he would bark almost like it hurt him. Also he would not come to me and was acting very lethargic. It lasted for about 30 mins then he stopped I checked on him through out the night and before I left for work and he was acting fine. could there be something wrong with him? I have not changed his diet I only give him chinchilla food and treats.

sugar glider missing patch of fur
Posted on 2008/10/06 by Cecileylast night i noticed my female sugar glider had a small patch of fur missing under her chin. i think that my her twin brother might have caused it. i've seen him get food out of her mouth before and here lately she has been resisting giving her food to him so i think he may have pulled the fur to get her to give in. but i also know that gliders will pull their hair when stressed or if they have pain they will pull the hair in the area where it hurts. we have a new male who is in a seperate cage. we put his cage in the same room as her cage about a month ago and i'm wondering if this could be a cause of stress if it is stress. why would it have taken so long to...
