  I think my dwarf hamster has a tumor its around the cheek/throat area he is having a hard time getting up. And one of his eyes was kinda closed also when he walks he kinda wiggles. What should i do i have another hamster living with him there the same breed except its a different gender and she is healthy? what should i do?

• Hamster Won't Pee

  Hi. My pet female hamster (syrian) doesn't seem to be urinating and eats very little. She is very shaky. When I handle her she tries to get away. She has been sleeping a lot lately and has light brown poop that is quite soft. Any suggestions about what to do for her would be greatly appreciated.

• Confusion

  I have 2 dwarf hamster, i got them about 4 months ago together from being babies and they have never fought before, but recently they have started fighting. one of them seems to squeak really loudly and roll on his back, even though the other one doesn't ever really bite him or anything, sometiimes he just runs past, is this normal? what does it mean? and will they keep doing this is i cant stop it?

• Have I left it too late

  my daughter, who has behavioural difficulties, sprayed her hamster Emma with perfume just over a week ago. Emma seemed fine but the last 3 days she hasn't been eating or drinking, rarely comes out of her bedhouse, has sticky eyes and is unsteady on her feet. Is it too late for anything to be done?

• Hamster with diabetes?

  My hamster it appears is suffering from diabetes. He is peeing and drinking a lot and often has energy crashes. He will sometimes just sit in a corner shaking. We also found an abrasion on his tail. He is a syrian hamster. Any advice?

• Hammy has swollen belly

  I went to clean my hamsters cage out today. When I approached the cage he was drinking water when he was done i went to pick him up. On his right side his abdomen is very swollen. If i press lightly on it it doesnt seem to hurt him and feels a little soft with fluid. i dont want to hurt him. When i let him run around on the bed he seems normal very active and alert. His left eye is shut tho with crustys which to me is normal because when he wakes up it normally stays like that for about 5 minutes and opens. im very worried about him and my emergency hospital is closed because of the holiday...please help me

• Is my hamster dying?

  About a week ago i noticed my hamster wasn't as active as she usually was. Within the last 4 days she had stopped pooing so i took her pellet food away and starting giving her fresh fruit but this has not helped she is very lethargic and when i try to hold her she is trying to bite me. Now she appears she isn't urinating or cleaning herself either. What should i do?

• Death?

  I have a Syrian hamster and I'm not sure her exact age but I think she is around 2. I know that's the typical life span for a hamster. I noticed she wasn't her normal self for weeks, maybe even a month now but just tried to keep her cage clean and give her fresh food and water. Then her eyes started to shut and now they completely are. She was breathing heavily but now very shallow. She is very disoriented as I could imagine she would be from not being able to see. She will hardly eat or drink. I've tried but she won't have anything to do with it. In the past couple days she's gone to nearly skin and bones. What do I do? No money for a vet. Should I just let her pass or...
