My Syrian female hamster mated with aSyrian male hamster like 2 months ago. She never showed signs of pregnancy until now. She has built her nest, gathered the food and has been gaining weight very quickly. It has been around a week since she has started this behavior.

Sore on Right hock with hair loss
Posted on 2010/11/10 by UserI have a Russian Roboruski Hamster. She is very sweet but recently developed hair loss and a sore on her right back hock. I took her to the vet and they gave me baytril oral med. She did fine, but when finished with the med, she went back to biting her leg. The vet believes it is a benign tumor and wants to do surgery for $361.00. The tumor can come back. My little hamster is 2 and 1/2 yrs. Can I place very diluted warm salt water on the sore to help the healing process? Thank you.

I bought my hamster about 1 month ago and he seems to have been sneezing since I got him. I thought it might have been an alergy to the wood shavings so I stopped using them. However I noticed today that he seems to have puss (or some other similar discharge) coming from his penis. He also sleeps quite a lot. I am very worried. Any ideas?
