My guinea pigs teeth are chiped
Posted on 2009/06/17 by BevI noticed a few days ago that one of Ellies bottom teeth had chipped away halfway down, ive heard that their teeth can sometimes be overgrown, so i was just about to ring the vet yesterday and noticed that her other bottom tooth had been chipped down to the same level as the other one, she can still eat, but i am worried if she is in any pain with it. should i still take her to the vet?

One of my guinea pigs wont give milk to her babies
Posted on 2009/06/17 by BevI have 2 female guinea pigs that both had 3 babies each a few days ago, Ellie is an exellent mother, as she is very patient and gentle with her babies but Maggie wont let hers have any milk, and when her babies try to get milk, she just runs away and when she does let them, they only get to have about 10 seconds then she gets up. is this a serious problem for the babies? and should i put Maggies babies with the other mother?

Sick Guinea Pig
Posted on 2009/05/24 by UserMy guinea pig has some brown lumps on the left side of her body. At first i thought it was her poop stuck in her fur, but the lumps seem to be growing out of her skin. The fur under her mouth is also turning a lighter color than it used to be. Any ideas as to what this is?
