Can goldfish be kept in very large clear storage boxes because my fish currently in a tank is huge and i think it would be best to get a new one but could i buy a new storage box for him?

Posted on 2009/07/29 by LilyHi, my goldfish is 8 years old and seems to be very healthy. But one eye is protruding a bit and seems to be filled with a little bit of blood. It has been like this for awhile but could it be serious?

i got 2 angel fish and a chinese sucker and the day i brought them home one angel fish would not eat then the next day the other one did the same they had ich the two angel fish died and the chinese is fine petco said my ph was to high and i needed to change water so first do you think the chinese is infected it shows no signs second how should i change the water with tap or treated or ozarka ?

possibley sick betta fish
Posted on 2010/01/03 by UserI bought PL yesterday and he seems to love his new tank. But when I went to feed him last night, he didn't eat. I just dimissed it, thinking he might have been feed shortly before I bought him. But this morning I tried to feed him again and he didn't eat. am I being worried for nothing or is he really sick?

Posted on 2009/07/19 by Userhi my goldfish has an ulcer which is currently on its second day of treatment with myxazin i bought a black moor today an introduced into the tank but it started nipping at thge ulcer on the goldfish is this normal or harmfull to any of the fish i have a spare tank so they could be seperated is there any way to speed up the healing of the ulcer

Wondering about the breeding process
Posted on 2009/04/13 by UserWe have had our oscar for about 8 years and there has only been one other oscar in with Hitler about 6 years ago. About a week ago Hitler layed at least 500 eggs on top of the flat shell in its tank. I know that a fish can hold sperm and get itself pregnant when it wants to but 6 years later? Could this be something else? I am lost!!! Also its color will change from jet black to light gray when it gets mad. Is this normal?

ph level control
Posted on 2008/11/20 by rebeccai have an aquarium that has been running about a month and i cant seem to get the ph level to balance out. i'll test it and it will be at 8.8 so i'll either change out 2 gallons with 2 of bottled spring water or i'll drop a correct ph tab in and it usually drops to 6.8 or 7.0 but within 12hrs it is right back up to 8.8. i bought a brand new multi stage filtration system and it still does the same thing. do you have any suggestions? please!!
