My dog, black mouth cur mix, is 5 years old and just cut her tail over the weekend. This happened once before , but some liquid bandaid stopped the bleeding and she didn't bother with it. I tried the same thing this time but she chewed it off. Then I tried to put a wrap on it with some anti chew spray. She pulled if off as soon as I left the house. I bought a cone, but some how she is still able to get it off (long tail). Yesterday I bought a musle for her to put on when I leave for short periods of time just so she doesnt make it worse. I don't know what to do. I called my vet and they would give her a shot, but that isn't going to stop the chewing so it can heal ...
