    I want to have my ferret vaccinated, what can I expect and what kind of vaccines will be used? What kind of reactions and side affects should I be aware of? I also want to have him neutered, what kind of side effects and reactions should I look for? How long will it take him to recover?

    my ferret has blood in her stool and i think a urninary tract inferction. the vets arent open til tomorrow!!! any medicinal suggestions til i can get her in tomorrow morning? i dont want to see her in pain! PLEASE HELP!! Erica

  • Long Cut Tail, Dog Keeps Chewing

    My dog, black mouth cur mix, is 5 years old and just cut her tail over the weekend. This happened once before , but some liquid bandaid stopped the bleeding and she didn't bother with it. I tried the same thing this time but she chewed it off. Then I tried to put a wrap on it with some anti chew spray. She pulled if off as soon as I left the house. I bought a cone, but some how she is still able to get it off (long tail). Yesterday I bought a musle for her to put on when I leave for short periods of time just so she doesnt make it worse. I don't know what to do. I called my vet and they would give her a shot, but that isn't going to stop the chewing so it can...

  • Unwell Ferret?

    My 9 month old, vasectomised male ferret has been vomiting a few times this week and has put on maybe 1 or 2 lb's over the past 2 weeks (which is more than what people suggest as winter fat - they are kept outside during the day, but inside after 1900). Ive tried giving him plenty of water, food and hariball paste, but hes not getting any better. He is also quite lethergic and does not seem to want to play as much. He tends to sleep or watch the other 2 play around.

    My ferret had severe ear mites, in the middle of my second week treating him with ferret ear drops, he got a mass behind his era. It's red and swollen and looks like ear mites are nesting there. It sprang up in a day. What should I do?
