    i got my puppy at 8 weeks old. he hadnt had any of his shots or been dewormed. i got his shots up to date, but i never knew about the de-worming (im a first time pet owner) hes now just turned 3 months old. is feeding fine, and is showing no signs of any type of worm that ive researched online. is it still necessary to have him dewormed?

  • Liver cancer in my Golden retriever

    My dog was just diagnosed with liver cancer. Golden Retriever age 12. His liver enzymes # was 2,000. I can't bear to see him in pain. It came over him so fast. He has no appetite. Has lost 10 lbs. Does not socialize. How do I know how near "the end." he is at? What do I look for to see how much pain he is in? When do i "put him down."

  • swollen head

    Hi, I have a black lab, 1 1/2 year old. This morning she woke up with a swollen head, her face looks like a pit bull and her eye is almost swollen shut. I live in the mountains, no vets are near, do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

  • Separation Anxiety?

    I believe that my dog Zeus has issues with separation anxiety. He is an American Pitbull Terrier and is 7 months old now. Any time we leave the house he barks. I obviously don't know exactly how long this behavior continues, but he also pounces on the door and whines a lot. He also can't be outside by himself without jumping at the door and barking. Once you go out he's fine. He doesn't really pay that much attention to you once you're out with him, it's just like he wants you to be out there with him. He used to have to be attached to my hip everywhere I went. I couldn't get up and walk 2 feet without him following me. That seems to have gotten better, and he is...

    I just recently found out that my 13 yr old dog has anemia. I cant get my vet to truly tell me how bad it is. How deadly is this and should I continue with the treatment or should I go ahead and have her put to sleep?

  • Chihuahua Red eye

    I noticed today my 2 month old Chihuahua has a red blotch uder her eyelid, at the top of her eye. She's not touching it, and it doesnt seem to bother her. It almost looks like a blood vessel burst. Is this serious? Should i rush her to the vet? What can i do to make it better?

  • help please!

    please help! Last night on new years my dog ran off without us knowing. We could not find him till this morning when he showed up on his own. When I seen him, his right leg has a lump on it and he is limping and acting very tired. Do you think he was hit by a car or bitten by something?
