• basset hound w/urinary problems

  I have a five year old basset that is having urinary problems. His urine test yesterday at our vet should that the dogs urine is not Concentrated. Our vet recommend that we stop giving Jed his ketzconozale. He has been taking that for atleast 8-months. What do you believe might be happening with his urine? Holly

  She is fine. I guess that she didn't actually get any of the medication. Thanks a lot for responding. I clearly misunderstood how fast this site would garner an answer, but I will know better how to use it now. Barb H.

  If my dog licks someone who has herpes and sores on their mouth, will the dog get herpes too? Additionally, if the dog licks me and I don't have herpes, but the dog does, can it be transmitted to me?

• dog eats poop

  my dog eates poop. his own poop as well as cat poop. we have strays in our neighborhood and he finds it and tries to eat it. if they have a keen sense of smell why the hell would they want to eat poop. i dont get it. i found this stuff called Deter - Coprophagia Treatment. its active ingredients are Monosodium Glutamate 200 mg and Oleoresin Capsicum 21 mcg. is this safe and will it work to help problem.

  I have a 2 year old dog who I caught consuming the neighbors garbage that contained week old meat and other particles. He had a few accidents in the house, which he never does. He also is drinking excessively. Should I be concerned?

  I gave my dog a bath last week because she was stinky. The smell came back the next day. I have cleaned her with wipes for the past few days because I thought that she may have poop on her and the smell returns after a few hours. She hasn't had any gland problems. What could this be?

  My mini goldendoodle, Bailey, was born July 2007 and was purchased from a reputable breeder at 8 wks of age. Has always exhibited infrequent vomiting and/or diarrhea, and scratching. After her 1 year birthday, the scratching became more pronounced and hair loss in clumps and allergies were suspected. A skin test shows Bailey allergic to several environmental factors and food was also suspect. The vet changed her from her regular diet of Wellness Puppy to IAMS Kangaroo & Oats which she stayed on for 12 weeks. We recently re-challenged the diet and 3 days later began the vomiting on a frequent basis either frothy bile or food. She can not keep any food down, not...

  My dog was sneezing alot and I have a home vet guide. It said I could give her a little Children's Tylenol. I gave her 1/2 ml (very little) for two days. Now I'm reading that this medicine is toxic to dogs. Will she be OK?
