Frequent urination
Posted on 2008/12/09 by UserMy dog is 3 1/2 months old and is frequently urinating wherever she may be standing. We noticed it when she first came to our home and thought it might just be nerves from being placed into a new home. However, it started up again about two or three weeks ago. There isn't any blood in the urine and she doesn't seem to be in pain. When she goes she hold the position for what seems to be 3-4 minutes at a time and also will just pee while standing or while walking and not "assume the position." She probably goes 10-15 times a day. Is this natural to go so often or is there something more going on that we don't know?

My Dog Trembles uncontrollably - geSelect...
Posted on 2008/12/09 by UserMy dog is not at all timid around other animals or people, but if someone hiccups she trembles all over (legs shake uncontrollably), and tries to get underneath things, and often hides in the bathtub. In the past there have been very few things that cause this to happen such as hiccups, and certain beeping sounds (not all but some). Lately she has been doing this without the hiccup or sound provoking the episode. I am not sure if she is hearing a sound that we can't hear (maybe from a neighbors house), or if she has some type of anxiety that is worsening. Is this something we should be concerned about. Her brother had a stroke last year at the age of 7 so I am...

My Shih Tzu Dexter threw up twice today. the first two times were his food and it was about 2 maybe 3 cups of food. the third and fourth time there were a few pieces of food and the rest just liquid. Oh wait he got sick 2 more times and threw up his carrot. He's been eating the same food for a month with no problems. He's passed out asleep right now, should I be worried?

My dog itches himself so much, around the head and on his paws. I have tried medicated moisturizing shampoo and also Dermoscent, to no avail. Do you know what else I can try?

Depressed...?
Posted on 2008/12/06 by UserI'm worried about my dog; she was fine this afternoon when I left the house, playful as usual. But when I came home she seemed to be depressed. She doesn't leave her bed at all, she doesn't come when you call her, she doesn't respond when you call her, and whenever she lifts her head...it kind of wobbles. I don't know what's wrong with her and I'm really worrried.

swollen foot
Posted on 2008/12/06 by lindaI asked a question yesterday about Pancha's swollen foot, I got the answer and it helped. But I do have another question about it. I cleaned it with peroxide and gave her babt tylenol, I also trimmed the hair around her pad so I could see if I could find out where she got her cut, well I found it and it actually looks like there are 2 cuts one is small and red and the other kinda looks like white shreded meat and she keeps licking her foot. My question is can/should I not only do the peroxide and tylenol but also maybe put something like neosporin and gauze on her foot to keep her from licking it so much???

My ten year old Papillon is vomiting bile every morning. Her appetite is good, we feed in the evening, and her activity level is the same. We feed Bil-Jac dry food with Nutro canned mixed in. She does have some bad teeth. Many have been extracted. She will no longer allow me to brush and she has never wanted to chew, to keep her teeth clean, other than Bil-Jac liver biscuits. We are on a fixed income and an expensive Vet visit is out of the question.
