  • ruptured disc

I am on disability but will have money on March 1. I will pay then. I have a 140 lb rottweiller. A year ago he ruptured a disc in his back and his back legs were paralized. Spent $11,000. on a operation to repair damage. The first 3 months I had to be his back legs as he had to learn to walk all over again. Over the last year with physio, done by myself with advice, he has regained about 70% useage of his legs. He continues to get better, but slow progress. His right rear legs muscles are noticably larger then his left. Is there any exercises you can recommend that I could do to help him. I am on disability and have little cash as the operation has suckerpunched me. My...

  • PUPPY WITH PNEMONIA?!

I have a 9 week old pupy. I got him at 8 weeks and he had just got his booster 3 days prior. I had him for about 3 days and noticed he coughed a lot. People told me he would be okay, but I wanted to bring him to the vet anyways. I made an appointment with the vet a couple days later for the next day but the day I made the appt. the puppy started throwing up, so I changed it to that day. I brought him in and the vet listened to his heart and lungs (after taking his temp which was a little high) - she told me he has a pneumonia(sp?) - she gave him antibiotics that i give him twice a day and made a follow up appt. for 3 days later. I brought him today and his fever is gone...

  • Is my dog having "Wet Dreams?"

I am positive that my dog is having "wet dreams". At first he will be twitching in his sleep and then he will start to twitch quite vigorously and then when he stands up has a full on erection and leaves a wet patch from where he was laying, I have never heard of dogs having wet dreams and have looked on lots of other forums on the internet but many people are undecided. Also is there anything other than castration that will prevent this? Advice is much appreciated! Natalie

  • Dog throwing up

My dog has been throwing up on and off for over a week now. He throws up mostly stomach acid and partly digested food. He does not have a fever, and when not about to throw up does not act sick at all. He is drinking plenty, so is not dehydrated. I have split his meals up into 3 a day which helps him keep the food down. I am a few hours away from the nearest vet, so what can I do myself? Thanks!

  • In heat

how often does Sibs come in heat? Aiyana was in heat the end of nov. and she is in heat now, this is the second time she has ever been in heat? Also when is a good age to breed her, I have been told two different ages. I don't want to do it too soon. She is my baby and I don't want to do any thing that will harm her.

  • My 17 month old female dachshund seems to have blood in her urine occasionally. She does not seem to be drinking a lot more, maybe a little more, in her-self she is fine and happy, playing as normal etc. Her appetite has maybe reduced but over approx a 2 month period. The blood has been present as watery and is not always present, maybe weekly. She is due a season but shows no other signs of this e.g. enlarged vulva? Or discharge. As this goes on, I am beginning to think and worry that it is not a partial season, but an infection or something. Thank you very much. I will be online again in 24 hours. Samantha
