Hi. We just had our 1 year old dog neutered exactly a week ago and as expected he came home from the vet sore and not himself. However after a couple days he was 100% back to his old self (i say that bcuz he is a jack russel mix and he usually gives 150% of energy everyday) but after coming back he has been coughing and not really wanting to play like he used to. He is laying down a lot and still not wanting to play with the dog next door. I figured he may have Kennel cough but also it could be allergies, because mine seem to bugging me lately. Could it be something else?

How long to become adjusted to a new family?
Posted on 2008/09/30 by Userhow long should it take for a newly adopted 4 year old dog to become adjusted to a new family and house trained? We are on a good consistent feeding and walking schedule but are having an accident almost daily. We have had the dog for 6 weeks, and otherwise, she's doing great. Thanks!

limping when walking
Posted on 2008/09/30 by Userdog fell down stairs backwards a week ago and has been limping a bit on one paw. He doesn't seem to be in any pain as hes still his usual self. When i touch his paw smallest toe he flinches a little as if thats the problem, just wondering if theres anything i can do or whether just to leave him and let it heal.

Eye injury
Posted on 2008/09/30 by AmyShe was scratched below the eye. The bottom lid is swollen and oozing. I am keeping it clean, treating with hydrogen peroxide and neosporin. She is also taking an antibiotic. I tried warm compresses last night. Should I continue in the same manner or do you recommend something else?

Stifff Botton Jaw
Posted on 2008/09/29 by PaulaI have notice that the skin on the botton jaw is very tight and stiff but only right around the opening of her mouth. I am unsure if there is something medically wrong or if it is just old age.
