My cat he...on his neck is missing some hair, but he has also got some marks, our maid disclaimed it might be bite marks or scratch marks. i am a bit worried that he is fighting with my other cat. but my other cat is really sweet, i know they play alot tho. roughly, so it might be that. i am a bit worried. his eye looks a lil irritated too which leads me to believe more that its a scratch or something. i have separated them and i told our maid to take him to the vet tomorrow immedietly. what might this be?

My cat Roxy has these weird seed-like things that I notice after she has been laying on my bed or the couch. They look like the seeds from hamburger buns. I have had a big problem with fleas since I have lived in the apartment, but I am following the vets instructions to apply Advantage every 3 weeks, and keeping the place vaccuumed. I also had the pest control place come in and spray for fleas about 6 months ago. Any idea if this is related to the fleas or if it could be something else she needs to be treated for? Thank you!

Posted on 2008/03/05 by UserMy cat is ten years old. He started with a cough(similar to that of a hairball). Brought him to the vet. Had an upper respiratory infection. Put on Penisilan. Didn't get better. Had blood work and x-rays and found a cloudy mass on his lung. Put him on orbax tablets 22.7mg(1/2 tablet per day) and still hasn't gotten better. He doesn't really eat. I have to feed him through an eye dropper with baby food mixed with water. When he does eat, he only eats a couple bites and turns his head to the left when he chews. Seems like he has a hard time eating or swallowing. He goes to the bathroom and sleeps all day and night. He is awake some, but only lies there. He still purrs and...

occasional vomiting and weight loss
Posted on 2008/03/01 by JageOver the last two months Sam has begun vomiting his entire meal roughly every 3-5 feedings (fed twice/da.) His faeces and urine output appear unaffected although he yowls before movements. He was a large cat (@20 lbs but we cut his food back to 1/2 cup serving in the fall of last year when his hips began "clicking" as he walked. (He has been fed dry food: Kat & Kaboodle for the last eight years) He now weighs closer to 10 lbs. We have given him hairball medicine and switched his treats to Friskies hairball remedy treats. but are still concerned with his weight loss and the fact that he sounds in pain while "pooping" but not the rest of the Day...
