  • Baby budgies!!!!!!

Hi, This year JJ had 5 eggs in the nest box and only 3 hatched... she is very sensitive and violent so we left the unhatched eggs with her... now it has been quite a while and it has been fully covered in the other baby budgies poop.... should we remove it??? Also the budgie nest is absoulutely a mess... It is completely covered with the baby budgies poop and is starting to smell, everytime she comes out ( babies are 10_15 days old) she is covered in poop and we are concerned,,, should we clean it??? Lastly I was wondering if you have any good suggestions for bathing an untamed budgie?? Is it also ok to bath them when the baby budgies are in the cage??/ p.s...

  • Question About Mealy Parrot

Hi! My mom and dad just recently adopted a 22yr old mealy Parrot and I noticed that one the right side of his face he looks like a chipmunk...he looks like he has a cheek full of nuts. Is this something to be concerned about? Do you think he was putting his seed there? He was eating very small sead at the time and fruit. Thanks for your help!

  • My green budgie lost his mate about 2 1/2 weeks ago, but has a new mate as of about a week ago. They are getting along quite nicely, but I notice that he has developed (from what look like a blue spotted rash over his chest and belly. Upon closer inspection, it looks like blue feathers growing but not sleek against the body. He is hand-tamed, so I've petted these and cannot find any lumps. He is not acting anything out of the ordinary, but I'm still can't help but be concerned.... Does anyone have any ideas what this weird "rash" may be?

  • Cockatiel bad leg

I have a 12 year old male cockatiel. For the last two days now his left leg looks deformed and drags behind him. All his energy is being used by trying to stay upright using his beak, wing and the good leg, but he's unable to sleep as he falls over. I've found him on his back at the bottom of the cage twice. I did make a platform for him which is the width of the cage and up to the height of his feed pot but he just perches on the end of the pot.
