Itching & Scratching

I have a 6 month old puppy I got from a rescue centre when he was 5 months old - since neutering he keeps scratching himself and biting himself all of the time - despite not having fleas and his skin looking clear. He is creating bald patches where he has been biting and clawing. He is also now scared of vets and having sudocream put on. Please help, what can I do to stop him scratching and gnawing himself excessively and how can I gain him to go to a vet again?

Sore, cracked paw pads

I've been running my dog recently while I ride on my bike. I've heard this is good for dogs with a lot of energy as our smooth coat border collie has. I've only been going out 2 or 3 x a week. We went two days ago and again today. The last time was about a week ago.
Today she was pulling back and I knew something was wrong. I stopped and let her sniff and relieve himself but had a hard time getting him running again. Towards the end he was really dragging and limping.
When we got home, (we went aprox. a mile) he laid down on the ground and licked his paws. When I inspected them, three of the four were a bit bloody.
Inspecting again later because he acted like he could hardly stand on them I see the two of the pads are torn and exposing soft flesh under them and the one pad is totally torn off and softer flesh is exposed underneath.
I feel horrible but hadn't seen any warning signs until mid run today.
What can I do to help Quincy to heal quickly and to relieve his pain. As well, what do I do next time to get him running but to not have paw injuries like this.

Boo has just come back from the vets after having been in for 5 days with a blocked bladder. They have unblocked it, and sent him home with antibiotics and other tablets to help his bladder cope. There is now blood in his urine, is this normal after having this produce and having the catheter removed or should I be very worried ?

I've tried triple antibiotic cream and medicated shampoo. It seems to bother him, he licks at it a lot. Just wondering what this could be?

My min pin was on prednisone for less than a week 10 mg once a day. After a few days into it, he was drinking excessively. Five days ago he drank and then vomitted all the water back, drank some more and the same thing happened. He refused food so I took him to the vet and he diagnosed diabetes and a high white blood count. He is still not eating so they have him on an IV as of yesterday and only threw up once all weekend. Please help. I don't want to lose him. He's my baby.

Possible Brain Tumor

I'm writing for some advice about my parents dog. He is five years old and up until about a month ago was a wonderful, loving, well trained yellow labrador. About six weeks ago his behavior started to change. He became lethargic, ravenous (he was never a big eater), would pace in circles around the house, and no longer enjoyed playing his all time favorite game of fetch. In the past two weeks, his behavior has gotten worse and he has now bitten two people (completely unprevoked) and has been having accidents in the house. He has not to my knowledge had any seizures but I suspect (after doing some research on the web) that he might have a brain tumor. My parents are distraught and feel like they have to put him down b/c he is so unpredicible and just isn't the same dog he was for the first five years of his life. Any advice or information you can provide about possible causes would be much appreciated.

My dog a mix with a springer and a lab, has these seizure type things that have been getting worse over the past month. We just got him from the SPCA a month ago. He curls up his back and cannot walk. He drools a lot and starts breathing really heavy. He also crys very quietly. And is very disoriented for about 10 minutes. After words he is really tired and loving. I am very worried I am taking him to the vet today.

warts?

I've noticed recently that my dog has these wart like bumps. One on the top of his head, it almost looked like a tick at first, doesn't bother him at all, just looks yuckie. Then today while trimming his nails I noticed another one on the inside of his back leg, just above his knee. Its about the size of a dime and sticks up about an inch. Are these sort of growths normal in a dog his age? He seems very loppy and skitish lately which is not normal. I'm not sure if I should take him in or not.

Hello, I raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I have currently received an email from a family that purchased one of my pups last summer. Its a boy (who was my favorite out of the litter!) They are having trouble w/ his temperment he constantly barks and growls and is very scared of other people. He was 14 weeks old when they got him and he wasn't like this at all he was very attached to me. They take him places all the time and is constantly around other people. He does well with his owners. Please email me @ tanyasamuelson@bresnan.net
