We got a 7 week old Yorkie puppy Tuesday. Wednesday she had to be taken to the vet with seizures. They believed it was hypoglycemia, perked her back up and said if she does it again come back. She started it again this morning so I took her back to the vet's office. Again, hypoglycemia. She ate just before we went to bed last night but sometime during the night this all came on. (She ate probably 5 times yesterday.) Food and water are left out so all she has to do is eat. Today they gave me a tube of Nutri-Cal and told me to give it to her every 30 minutes til she eats. That was about 11am, it's now almost 9pm and she still won't eat. Has only taken a sip or two of water...

Are these infected flea bites?? It is...
Posted on 2009/08/06 by AllisonHi - so about 1 1/2 months ago all of these bumps appeared on my dogs neck. They scabbed over and pretty much scabbed into her hair. She also had multiple red bumps (not scabs though) on her inner leg joints. I didn't have her on flea medicine. The doctor said it could be fleas, and told me to give her this chewable flea medicine. They also did a skin scraping and it was negative. I gave her the flea meds and the scabs started going away. About a week ago about 10-15 bumps appeared, this time on her head. Now she has about 10 going strong and they have scabbed over really bad. They hurt to be touched. One has a big black looking scab on top of the red sore....

My boyfriends mother's cat got in freezer yesterday about noon and she found it in there about 2 hours ago (in freezer about 22 hours), it is still meowing but not moving other than it's front left leg is twitching. Is there anything we can do for it? Or should we have it put to sleep? Dorene doreenwhite@netins.net

Sore, cracked paw pads
Posted on 2008/05/07 by BrianI've been running my dog recently while I ride on my bike. I've heard this is good for dogs with a lot of energy as our smooth coat border collie has. I've only been going out 2 or 3 x a week. We went two days ago and again today. The last time was about a week ago. Today she was pulling back and I knew something was wrong. I stopped and let her sniff and relieve himself but had a hard time getting him running again. Towards the end he was really dragging and limping. When we got home, (we went aprox. a mile) he laid down on the ground and licked his paws. When I inspected them, three of the four were a bit bloody. Inspecting again later because he acted like...

Our chihuahua has what appears to be a rash all over and it's making her very itchy. Just noticed it this morning as blotchy red areas on her stomach, but we think it is other areas too. Is there a home remedy for this, like a small dose of benadryl? We don't think she ate anything unusual nor had contact with anything that she normally doesn't.
