  • Strokes?

Tinkerbell is an older dog, but likes to play and have fun. However, lately she has been having trouble walking and sometimes will just fall down for no reason. She also will have times where for several days she will not get up because it appears she is in pain. It will subside, and everything appears to be normal. During this time, her legs are stiff and massaging her lower back and giving her baby aspirin seems to help a lot. She also has constantly goopy eyes and she sneezes and hacks quite frequently (unrelated to latter condition). What could be wrong? We feel bad for her, but being she is so old, we wonder what we can do for her.

  • Ear infection

Bichon puppym looks like haveing some ear problem, smells bad, what to be done

  • Cat losing weight and vomiting

We took my cat to the vet last Friday because she has been vomiting and acting erratically. We are waiting to hear back about her tests, though we found she lost a pound in the last year. Now she has gotten worse. She vomited again this morning and then did not eat at all today. She was hiding under the bed for most of the day. When she finally came out she could not jump on the bed (something she usually does with ease). A few years back, it was discovered in surgery that she had a hairball lodged in her intestine. Could this have happened again?

  • What could happen if a cat swallowed a Trazodone?

  • cat is sick

I have a male cat who is in pain, bloated, cannot use the bathroom and keeps licking his crotch.

  • Dog Chews Leg

I have a 10 year old Brittany Spaniel and he has been licking his right hind leg since August. We have gone to the vet and was given bitter apple (he licked it off), Prednisone (no help) and even wrapped his leg with gauze and covered it with deodorant to deter him from licking. Nothing works. He has now licked a sore on his leg. The vet says that he does this for similar reasons humans bite their nails. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid he's going to lick his leg off. Thank you for your time.

  • Dogs and Menopause

My pomeranian dog acts like she gets hot flashes. She's 7 years old and will pant, roll her tongue back in her mouth, her head gets really hot, she shakes and acts very hot for approx. 15 minutes at a time. Do female dogs get menopause?

  • genetic problems

I am planning on getting a shorkie puppy (Yorkie, shihtzu mix) and i was wondering is a dog is predisposed to certain genetic illnesses does that mean that dog will most likely experience them and if so what in terms of daily care and nutrition can be done to prevent them

  • Jessi recently (the past 4 months) has had seizures. She has been in to the vet to get set up on treatment and check ups on her liver function etc and has been doing fine. Jessi has had a very bad outbreak of skin alergies which required two shots to bring it back undercontrol. Neither were cortizone but were antibiotics, some kind of new one, and a shot to bring down the inflamation. Part of the effects of her seizures was urinating but that stopped with the medications. Last night's wetting was different. I woke up to a wet bed and changed the bed and then went back to sleep. She again wet the bed and that ended the bottom waterproof sheets so she stayed on...
