i have two un neutered male small breed dogs, one is 15 months old the other is 20 months old, they usually get along great, but i have a female mini-pinn who is now 8 months old and in heat, and my two male dogs are at each others throats..litterally. this has resultrd in an accidental dog bite to me which required a trip to the e.r. they can't even be in the same room with each other. if they see each other one starts snarling and growling and then the fight is on unless we can get them under control.. its so bad that the youngest dog went into the bedroom where i had just let the oldest dog out of and he started growling and snarling like the other dog was still in...

Male cat behavior issue (~1 year old)
Posted on 2009/06/02 by UserI have a male cat that is having behavior problems. He will attack me (brutally, not playfully) at random; always unjustifiably from my viewpoint. I thought this was because he wasn't neutered yet, so I did that about two to three weeks back. I know it takes a bit for the hormones to get out of his system, but is there a general estimate as to how long that is? I'm kind of worried that his attitude problem ISN'T related to maturity, and he might just be turning into a vicious little demon. But, I guess it still could be since I'm no expert. Is this a wait and hope type thing that I'm stuck with? I can always tell when he's going to attack because his ears will go...

I have a question about behavior. I have a shetland sheepdog and I have read up on the breed. When I read up, it tells me that this breed is active and has herding instincts. I read alot of positive feedback. My pet does not have this personality. She does not play and seem as energetic as the articles say she needs to be. She does play but not for very long. She is very submissive. She does not come to close when we call her. She will come arms length but that is it. She does like to be petted but is just not as affectionate as the reading say the breed should be. She is very spoiled and we tend to needs but I was just wondering if this is normal for only having...

Destructive dogs!
Posted on 2009/09/29 by StephanieI have 2 pit bulls who are very destructive when I leave. Before we had the second one, my female was a perfect dog! Nothing would be touched when I would come home no matter how long I was gone. Now they both destroy anything in sight! I keep them in the garage to keep the destruction contained. They have water, toys, bones, blankets and a bed but they still dig holes in the walls and use the floor as a personal bathroom! I don't know what to do, please help! Thank you! ~Stephanie
