My cat, Sam, was in heat in the last 2 weeks. Now, she is irritable, hisses, and acts like something is bitting her. She is flea-free. She scratches her skin so much that she is getting sores. What could be wrong?

Posted on 2008/12/21 by UserMy cat is very sick. His face swelled so bad that his head looked distorted. He has blisters around and in his mouth. This happened a few days after feeding him a new cat food. I took the food away just in case and have been only giving him tuna. The swelling is almost gone but he still looks really bad. I wonder if he was poisened or if the catfood was tainted.

Cat's neck
Posted on 2008/12/21 by RMy cat has a really large bump on his neck. It's seriously the size of a golf ball and is on his left side on the bottom of his neck. I just noticed it today and I don't remember it being there yesterday. Is it serious or can I wait until tomorrow to have it checked out?

Cat peeing excessively
Posted on 2008/12/21 by UserI just recently took my male tabby cat of eight months to get fix. My husband and I did this because he was constantly peeing everywhere. I heard that when you fix them it will help. Well it did for about two days. But then he started peeing on the bed and only the bed. He peed on it three times today . My husband thinks it's because he is taking revenge against us for getting him fix. Should I be concern of his excess peeing or let him grow out of it?

Posted on 2008/12/21 by UserShih-Tzu male 3 y.o. can't seem to urniate much and recent urine went from orange to red (spotting) - doesn't seem to be in pain - I've noticed decrease in drinking water. I've tried IC SMZ/TMP Doubl-str tabl MPC (my own prescrip for a UT infection) one tablet, broken into segments and mashed mixed w/bits of cheese a few times today, but doesn't seem to be helping. My vet/hosp opens at 9am (it's 11:30pm now) tomorrow - can it wait or should I look for an open hosp now?

Posted on 2008/12/22 by CorinaI have a 15wk old Chihuahua that was diagnosed 2days ago w/the ParvoVirus.I chose 2do the (SQ Fluids) @home.So far she's doing great! However, I have 2other dogs in my home. Mother & Daughter (Daschund/Yorkies) 5 & 3yrs old.Both have had their shots.The mother did get the ParvoVirus when she was a puppy.I also treated her w/ (SQ Fluids) from the Vet. It took nearly a week or more,but she recovered nicely~.Although not as rapidly as Sadie,(my Chihuahua) has recovered.She seems100% better after just 2days. Anyway,my Sissy & Mini~Me (my Daschund/Yorkies) both appear 2be coming down w/a sickness of some sort. As of yet,they haven't vomited or had diarrhea.But...
