Ruby started having diarrhea 2 weeks ago, so i took her to the vets and was told she was in good condition and healthy and that she had probably just eaten something that upset her tummy. She had an antibiotic injection and starved for 24 hrs. The next day she did a normal poo! But that didn't last and quickly reverted back to diarrhea, so i wormed her yesterday. There has been no signs of worms but she still has diarrhea and wrecks the house when i'm out because she knows she shouldn't be messing in the house. She is also very hungry and has been steeling food.

Lady and her litter of 6 kitten
Posted on 2008/10/10 by JenniferAbout two days ago,I got a momma cat and her six kittens from someone who could no longer care for them. They all have fleas and have an internal parasite that I think the lady told me was Coccidia, which she said was contagious to other animals through the stool. The person I got them from took them to the vet and are currently on meds for about 2 days now and momma and kittens are being treated for the Coccidia. The kittens are about 2 weeks of age,but the momma cat is very thin and I can feel her pelvic, spine, and shoulder bones. She also has fowl smelling, yellow, mushy bowel movements. Is that Coccidia? I have a 13 year old std poodle in excellent health. Just had a complete physical/blood work. Problem: has lost several pounds each of the past several years. No apparent medical problem. Has self regulated on dry food all his life until this past year when I tried some other things like canned puppy food. Still lost 2 pounds since last year. Vet and I discussed some other options. Am looking for other SAFE/HEALTHY high calorie ideas. Ice cream, peanut butter??
