If my dog has a micro chip and some one found him, and ended calling me to let me know that they found my dog, but then tell me they will not give him back unless I pay them..... Is that illegal? It's basically keeping my dog for ransom. Please advise.

Posted on 2009/01/20 by UserCan a simple polishing of the dogs teeth smooth the enamel of any small calculus and scraping the scalers have left on the enamel of the dogs tooth? Is there caution that polishing can cause more damage to the tooth from using to much pressure and having the polisher in one area for too long causing heat? If adequately scaling w/scalers and curettes that one can create a smooth surface and a polisher is only for removing non calcified debris not for removing calculus?

My family thinks I should get rid of the husky even though the chihuahua started the fight. Should the husky realize the size difference? The husky has never shown any signs of aggression.

Why did my 12 year old lab die?
Posted on 2009/01/22 by UserMy 12 year old lab died last night. Could you please help me with what happened? It started in the morning after his walk. He had trouble getting up my steps, not unusual. He was ovweweight and had leg and hip problems his whole life. When I brought him in the door he seemed to fall. He then lay down and stayed put for a while. A little while later he got up and moved to the rug. Thinking is was his hip, I covered him and put a heating pad on him for a while to make him feel better. He refused to get up to eat, but seemed to be resting comfortably. Moved around a little during the day and just rested. Dinner time came and he refused to eat. Still staying put in...
