My cat has an eye that is crusty and swollen. He also has many large mats in his fur that I cannot get rid of. Will his eye clear up on its own and how can I get rid of these mats, they have become very dirty.

Giardia Parasite
Posted on 2008/09/09 by JaclynI have a 6month Yorkshire Terrier that has been treated with 3 different antibiotics for the Giardia parasite, but is still coming out positive for it. The vet has told me i have 3 options: go to a GI specialist, leave her alone, or treat her off and on week after week with Flagyl antibiotic. The problem is that she tends to snack on her poop...so she keeps reinfecting herself and can't get rid of it! We've tried over-the-counter medications for this, but she still eats it! Any advice??? She has soft stools every other time she poops...but she's otherwise healthy...weighs over 7lbs, eats 1/2-3/4 cup of puppy food...

My 2 year old irish setter is acting like he has to urinate all the time sice this am. He is dribbling urine when he does try to go. Does he need to be seen in an emerg. Clinic today or is tomarrow AM OK?

Posted on 2008/09/16 by Usermy dog is vomiting, constipated, and less than active. We have just moved. He had vomited a time or two leading up to the move but now it has gotten worse. He is young but he seems to hae lost his "pep".

My cat won't stop Vomiting..

However the just of what's going on with my cat is she throws up (food only) within 15-45 minutes of eating, and if I don't pick it up she will eat it. I had the same issue years back in which I was told to only feed her a 1/4-1/2 a cup of dry food twice a day. This stopped the vomiting for quite some time.. or so I thought. She also tries to chew any type of plastic she can get her hands on, as well as any long threads (5-7in) that may be sticking out of the carpet.

Back Right Leg
Posted on 2008/11/19 by SamI have a pretty wild Shiba Inu that just last night started favoring her back right Leg. She will not putt any pressure on it and is not as crazy as she normally is. There is no sign of pain, as I applied pressure to all parts of the foot/leg. No nails are out of place, no bleeding, and she seems to be just fine except when she wants to run around. She has started to chew on the foot, which leads me to believe that something is bothering her. I don't necessarily think that I need to waste money on bringing her into a vet yet, but was wondering your thoughts. Thank you for your help!
