The day after I took her home, she started coughing, hacking, and showing other signs of Kennel Cough. I called the shelter where I adopted her and they told me she might have gotten it from the animal hospital where she had been spayed. They gave me some medicine to give her. I gave her the medicine for a week, but it did not seem to make any difference. I did notice that after I started giving her the medicine for the kennel cough, she started breathing through her mouth all the time, and she drools and slobbers water all over the place when she drinks. Hello, my name is Mike. I have a 7 year old German Sheppard. About 2 months ago I noticed a small lump on his back, about an inch wide and a inch high. I monitored it for a couple weeks and it seemed to almost completely go away. Then about a week later it came back in same spot about 2 inches wide and high this time. Again a week or two later it seems to have almost gone away. It has never been painful to him when I press on it. He has not lost his appetite. Should I take him in right away to the vet or just keep watching it to see if it comes back again?

Posted on 2008/12/28 by UserI am sitting with a boxer (not mine) who was just diagnosed with lymphoma. He was prescribed prednisone, but cannot keep ANYTHING down. He is vomiting up what looks like bile with thick white mucus and he is panting and hot. he has sore, raw places from not being able to walk and laying on the floor for long periods of time. My puppie is throwing up clear liquid
Posted on 2008/12/28 by UserMy puppie who is 9 wks old has been throwing up clear liquid and having very runnie bowl movements. I just got another puppie from Humane Society who put flea and tick medicine on her back and my older puppie played and chewed on her back, could that be the cause of her throwing up?

What foods can't dog's eat
Posted on 2008/12/28 by UserI've heard that dog's can't eat chocolate, pork (specifically ham), grapes (cause kidney failure), and bread and pizza (is this because of yeast?). Are these things true, and if so, why is it that they aren't able to be eaten (i.e. what do they cause health wise)? Also, is it only chocolate that can't be eaten or anything with cocoa in it?
