Sorry, I meant to drag the rating starts all the way to the right. Somehow I accidently clicked at the wrong spot. I didn't see a way to fix it. My other question is, how damaging could it be to remove the pellet from the hip muscle? Could it cause nerve damage? Can a regular vet do it or should Schooley go to some type of specialist? Thanks, kristy

my kitten uses her claws all the time
Posted on 2008/09/03 by UserMy 5 month old kitten doesn't seem to know how to use her claws. When she is playing with a fly near a screen, she'll often hook her claws on the screen and won't be able to remove them. This also happen on carpets, bedsheets, clothes, pretty much anything that she can grab hold of. We have hardwood floors and she runs with her claws out to help her stop. She's a good scratcher and uses the cardboard scratcher we have on a daily basis. I'd rather not clip her claws because I learned that it can be painful for cats. The few times I did try, she let out her version of an "anxiety" meow. Suggestions?

English Bulldog Diarrhea
Posted on 2008/09/03 by UserI have a 5yr old English Bulldog. He has had diarrhea for 2 days. I began giving him "excel diarrhea medication" for 2 days. We adopted him about 2 month ago. Since then we have upgraded his dog food. Since the change, we noticed the poop changed consistency overall. Now, we have this issue. Could it be the dog food affecting his stomach?

Senko - Chocolate Lab
Posted on 2008/09/03 by PatHello, My son's Chocolate Lab has extremely dry skin on his back. It actually is flaking above his fur. We had added a nutritional suppliment (Vita-Derm shed & itch relief) to his food but that seemed to give him extremly soft stools within the first two days, so we stopped it. We have been giving him a bath with a dog shampoo with tea tree in it. This seems to help but a few days later it is flaky again. How often should we bath him with this? Any other suggestions . . . please!! Thank you!

I think my cat might have eaten a tiny...
Posted on 2008/09/04 by ericaYesterday I think a small amount of ajax might have spilt into my cats food bag, I couldn't see any on the food so I assumed none had accually got on the food. But today my cat is acting strangely. She hasn't eaten much today, I offered her some canned tuna, which she loves, and she only drank a little of the juice. Will she be ok?

Won't Eat; sleeps all day
Posted on 2008/09/04 by TinaSkylar in the last two days will not eat, she sleeps most of the day and has very shallow breathing as I watch her now. She is 13, actually will be 14 in October. Is this a sign of her age?
