please help!!!
Posted on 2008/01/28 by UserMy 7-year-old cat has stooped pooping in her litter box about 3 months ago, but continues to urinate in it. I have had this cat since she was a kitten, and never had a problem like this. We moved into a new house about 6 months, and brought home a new dog about 1 year ago, but she was fine with both of these changes. We have taken her to our vet many times, and the vet now believes it is a behavioral problem. She has had numerous exams, and not had any medical problems other than a treated UTI. We have tried antibiotics, steroids, and anti-depressants with no success. We have tried discipline, new litter, removing the lid from the litter box, and moving the box. ...

Dog ate dried figs, help!!
Posted on 2008/01/28 by UserMy 23 lb. miniature schnauzer ate about 1 1/2 cups of dried figs. He seems to have an upset stomach and wants to go out constantly. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to give him too much water because I am afraid they will expand. Any advice?

her tail is always down and barely wagging
Posted on 2008/01/28 by RobertShe barely wags her tail anymore. As of 3 weeks ago. I checked for any cuts and found none. She lets me stroke her tail and I see no discomfort. She wags her tail maybe once a day now. Before it was a permanent fixture in the up position.

For the past 3 nights, the dog has vomited once, or twice, during the night. We are now feeding her a gruel of cooked ground chicken and rice but that doesn't solve the problem. Her appetite is normal, behavior is normal, & she's playful. This happened once before but, x-rays and exam turned up nothing.

Crusty build-up in corner of eye
Posted on 2008/01/28 by T.My 13-year-old cat has been getting a black crusty build-up in the corner of one eye. We've been gently removing it about every other day. This action doesn't bother her. She had an infection in this same eye as a kitten, and it's always been a little sensative (it tends to droop a bit more when she's tired). The eye isn't red, and otherwise looks normal. She has no other symptoms of being sick. She is a fully indoor cat, never going outside. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Tale Licking
Posted on 2008/01/28 by ThomasShe is licking her tale to the point where the hair at the base of the tale and 1/4 of the way up the tale is bare. No signs of fleas and she is an indoor cat. The skin is red and irritated due to her constant licking. There may be a few small red bumps. Any idea what this is or how I can treat it.
